Incorrect, not true.

Only Club 1870 members get SANFL access as part of the package.

All Crows memberships include SANFL access :

The question has to be asked why these two clubs only attract supporters to showdowns?
Crows would be averaging under 200 at every other game and Port maybe 1000 tops.
Doesnt help the league that nearly everyone gets on for free today

Port Adelaide members don't get in for free. Would have been 6-800 Adelaide fans there, most of them about 14 or 15 years old.

4800 is a solid crowd, why can't it just be viewed as that?

therein lies the problem for our comp down the track, will be raised following the crows in the local league and support for the other traditional clubs will start to decline

100% correct.

The Port website says you're wrong in their preview of yesterdays game:
"Essential Power members can also access this game free on presentation of their Essential Power membership card."

I know Power Essentials members who got in for free, their own website preview says they get in for free.
No offence but I think they get in for free and you're wrong.
Sounds like a pretty unprofessional shambles if you're reading and/or believing something somewhere else.
Do they have a club 119? Maybe they get in too?

I can only run with what is detailed on the website regarding membership packages, there's a link provided for you to look at, not from "somewhere else".I agree the game preview suggests otherwise.

Anecdotal evidence is what it is.

Anyway back to discussing the game, Adelaide ran harder than Port who seemed to struggle moving the ball from defence to attack with any fluidity. Couple of young Port lads looked like they are going to be promising, Frampton the pick of them I think. Looks likely to improve plenty.

Essential Gold provides all the benefits of Essential Platinum, with priority access to purchase Grand Final tickets (should PAFC be a competing club) rather than guaranteed access.
Get access into the Western Stand with non-reserved seating in the Adelaide Oval Football Members reserve. Great for those members who don’t need the security of a reserved seat and want to enjoy the game from the western side and from a different seating location each week.

Additional fees and charges may apply to General Admission Memberships. Members’ access to matches is not guaranteed. Access is subject to capacity and the Club recommends that Members reserve a seat in order to guarantee entry, particularly at high demand matches. Access may be gained to designated, unreserved seating on a first-come, first served basis subject to availability and Members can upgrade to a reserved seat at the venue for an additional fee subject to availability. Ticket agencies may charge a booking fee which is to be covered by the Member.
GAME ACCESS:
11 Power home games
MCG AFL Reserve Access

Under SANFL tickets :

Essential Club 1870, Essential Platinum and Essential Gold: entry to up to any 4 SANFL minor round games is included in your 2015 membership. Your member card will be clipped at the gate upon entry.

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

So, it does indeed seem that Essential Members get 4 SANFL games included, although I had to dig a bit to find this. The links to the membership packages do not mention it, however. So three of Ports packages do have SANFL entry, the bulk of them 4 games only.

Club 1870 includes all 18 Magpie games.

So my comment earlier that "Port members don't get SANFL games" was inaccurate. The bulk of Ports AFL membership base do not though. ( Black Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver, GA etc )

My memberships cost more than Essential and does not get me SANFL games, but it does give me a reserved seat, not in among the riff raff SMA members who could follow anyone.

So do you get free entry as part of your membership, or is the privilege conferred only upon those who take out the 1870 option?
