Is it the end? I still would have thought he would have had something to offer.

Last weeks game I thought he didn't do as much and North's pace may have found him wanting .
Or if you look at the padding on his legs was he injured last week or the week before , and he was able to play on from the bench.

Cicolella is unlucky. I think his role in the team is that of a bit part player now and he still does a few things well each game which creates opportunities.

I can't for the life of me see what Fuller sees in Daniel. I also think Hicks takes the soft option too often to be a league footballer. Possibly a bit harsh, but these two players have had a number of opportunities and I can't ever see Daniel becoming a good footballer and until Hicks does the hard things at every contest they should be playing twos.

But, Ron knows best...

To be honest I'm not a 100% certain of Daniel or Corbet .
But I do like the inclusion of Lane he will add a bit of pace to the forward line and he can crumb the packs .
Perhaps Ron learnt the lesson from the round 5(i think it was) last year pace and youth won that game against a sturt side that was 5 golas to zip up

Corbett has played some okay footy, but I suppose as a more mature-aged player you would hope for a little bit more otherwise you'd be better off playing kids. I wonder if Fuller sees Corbett playing a similar role to Inkster?
Daniel - jury is probably still out. Showed some glimpses last year and is only young.

Surely it cannot be his last match - he has only 7 to go for the 200! :) I think the line up this week is structured for more pace. Plus Lane was stiff to be left out of the side the match after he kicked four goals.

Pace is something the side lacked last week against North .
Lane has been kicking goals in the two's the last few weeks as well .

Couldn't have put it any better. I said last year that i thought Daniel was the worst player i had ever seen put on an eagles jumper and watching him run around like a headless chook in the 1st quarter last week shows that he hasn't improved. There must be better players in the b grade than hicks.

Should have selected Mcentee to play at CHB because don't know who is going to kick goals if Mcgregor is not played forward.

Cicolella showed something when he was on the ground last week but hardly got a run

Think he'll find it hard. I once spoke with he and former redback and eagle ben higgins at woodville years back and they were both passionate supporters of their respective clubs. Some friendly banter between the two!!! I heard again today that James Brayshaw has given him a rap to the Essendon people?????? Tell me it isnt so Colin.

Saw Cicca against Port and played mainly up forward. Not sure that he is fit enough to play large period in the midfield, possibly carryin an injury, but he does have immaculate disposal.

If he is still commuting from Pt Wakefield & fishing by night it is a hard ask.

Want to see him playing for as long as possible, as I think he is a gun & my favourite player.

Sturt fans have sen him run riot in many a prelim & semi final against them.

Shirley could be called up for the crows, and open a spot.

Fair enough, The Eagles' Justin Cicolella earned the Goal of the Day in Round Three, some brilliant roving resulting in a clever crumber's goal

Corbett copped 2 big hits in the 3rd quarter last week....both hurt him....but he got up and continued playing....hard as nails this lad....his form has been very good in the 2s and he deserves promotion....

Cicca is unlucky to be dropped....love watching him play.....very hard player to tackle and great skills.....none better in the wet...well maybe McKenzie......

Nathan Daniel....as far as I am concerend Ron has the results on the board with juniors and if he says he is good to play well thats enough for me......

jeez our reserves side looks good too.....

looking forward to seeing Mitchell Banner play.......this boy is cut like a snake.....should bolster our midfield even more when he hits his straps.....

should be a great game......

Eags to get over the line by a couple of goals.

Stop picking on Sam he is getting into the packs and getting the damn hard ball(hard ball gets). Seems you didn't see (if u went) the Holding the ball he did in the last quarter against north that resulted in perhaps the winning goal.
What the Eagles lack is the receiver type player that takes the ball away from packs .That's been missing since Daveron got injured.
Wright looks the part but needs to apply himself more, goes missing to often in the two's.Duanne Schulz could over take him he is getting played more as an on baller, still a long way to go before even he gets a call up.
Geddes should be an in I'll agree with u there.
Please stop running the side down in every post EVENI dont do that.

Interesting selections for the Eagles. I am sure Ron wants Cica to get some miles in the legs...I have noticed that Cica has trained very lightly some weeks so I hope this is a fitness gaining exercise.
Corbett deserves the recall and he has the ability to find a regular league spot based on his leather poisoning in the reserves. He burnt the ball too much earlier this season but is hard nosed and should take the step - remember he is still learning and was playing A6 amatuer footy just a couple of years back.
Hicks shows promises but must take the big step of being a good contributor every week instead of when it suits him - again he only has a few games under his belt. Lane does show a bit, is great around the goals but we will have to see if he develops into the midfielder we desire.
I wont be surprised to see Shirley back in the Crows given their injury concerns which may open up a spot for Geddes, I also expect to see another tall in the final squad to play forward and we have a few to pick from.
Sam Fairclough has been mentioned, I think he has been playing about as well as he can the last 3 weeks, he tends to be ok when the Eagles are flying but rarely sighted if we have a poor day - still time for him to improve.

Woodville Oval has been a fortress so far this season and as players we want to keep it that way. We know it starts with us and the support we received last week at Prospect was great – now, on our home patch at Woodville Oval we want to see you there again

Shall I bring my abacus along with me tomorrow for the head count?
I hope that there's more Eagles supporters at the game than Sturt supporters for the sake of the Eagles.
This time last year the balance was way towards the Double Blues at Oval Avenue.
With mostly fine weather predicted we should see a good crowd at the game tomorrow.
Let's hope the Blues can knock of the Eagles at their home ground...speaking as a Blues supporter should. \m/
