Maybe he was thinking of Barmby,Thomas or Spurr,BP.But none of them are soft and know way is Williams soft.Maybe you should ask him who is the softest player at the Wiggles.

I'd say Ryan Williams is one of the hardest working players in the SANFL.

Certainly not soft.

The fact you've never heard of him weakens your argument a fair bit :?

Don't know why you're bothering to disagree, big phil. After all, what greater expert on softness is there than an eagles supporter?

no arguement from me there
I wish the eagles did have more guts amongst the players
Pound for pound our first ten or so players are as tough as any team in the league
Starts to drop back from there
Though
We are getting there though

Never heard of him, played AFL football and was arguably our best player last year, especially in the finals. Williams = Gun SANFL footballer probably better than any Eagles player.

Careful boys, let's not build up Williams too much. lol
He is a good ball getter. Although I fear sometimes his disposal lacks....possibly why he is no longer with an AFL club.
Soft? Unlikely.

Anyway back to the game. Lower is a massive inclusion for the deadlegs. Has the ability to pick up 30+ possesions which will be very valuable against the Dogs midfield.

Im pretty sure Duncan will play, as Switala has been named in the ressies as well. Good luck to Duncs, has plenty of ability and deserves his oppurtunity through great reserves form for the last 2 years.

I will be interested to see who lines up on Vlatko, i dont have the stats but IIRC he would have a very good record against the dogs. (thats one for spelly) Sibenaler was great last week so he will more than likely get first crack, but Hardy may play on him as well. With Jericho out Vlatko will be extremly important, i can't see them kicking a winning score unless he kick around 4 goals.

It is too hard to say who is the "least toughest" player in the Dogs outfit when they are going so well at present and like I say, if Roy Laird and the coaching panel had any inkling a player was "soft" they wouldn't be at the club.

softest out at Centrals would be

Daniel Schell and Matthew Westoff.

That in itself says a lot because I would not say either of these are really soft, more that I would not describe them as hard.

Looks out of place compared to the rest of the club

Funny how people see things. I wrote under the Glenelg/Central review one of the highlights was Williams brilliant attack on the ball, throughout the game.
Anyway, I think it was maybe in the first quarter he limped off after diving in for the ball and copping a knee to the thigh, in the contest. I didn't expect to see him back on.
Williams is one of our best, class and toughness.

I read in this morning's paper it appears Matty Westhoff will be required as an emergency for Port Power, covering Robbie Gray's suspect back. So both Switala and Duncan may come in for the Dogs meaning Ashley Duncan may make his league debut today. If Westhoff goes out, being a key forward, they may bring in a Heath Lawry or David Allocca as well though.

I don't quite understand however, why Matty Westhoff is the emergency to replace Robbie Gray. Certainly not a like for like player and the dewey conditions of AAMI tonight are not conducive for a big fella (even though Matty is talented enough at ground level also) and doesn't seem the logical replacement.

For me, Jason Davenport has been tearing it up for West Adelaide on the ball and has also been kicking goals which is what Robbie Gray does. Westies have a bye this week so surely common sense says have Davenport as the emergency thus ensuring Matty Westhoff plays a game this weekend. How is it any good for Westy to not play any game at all if Gray comes up and Westy has to to sit out for us today.

I don't think that Rudolph would agree with Schell being soft ;)
