Half the goals kicked in the league come from turnovers in other parts of the ground![]()
A for the breeze, the windsock was sheltered by trees and changed direction all day. I had a few kicks on the ground (not very well) and can guarantee you that it favoured the northern end strongly, as everyone else at the ground could clearly see.
As for Davenport, his first half was great. I think most player's possessions are part of their team's pattern.
Find it in yourself to eke out just a little credit for a good player, even if he doesn't play for Glenelg.
bayman, I don't agree with everything you've said, but it's a pretty fair summing up
they were all turnovers from our defence in our defensive halfs rom which west directly scored goals.
cant see how the windsock couldve been doing that but if others say it was i will concede it must have been.
i have given credit to teh west players that i thought were good and had a positive influence for your team - davenport apart from his goals wasnt doing much that was constructive but as you say that can partly be because of the fact his teammates werent doing the right thing with all the handballs and short kicking. maybe he should be played further up the ground like cupido and try harder to win matches by playing matchwinners in aggressive positions
