Welcome back Centurion.

Sorry for being off topic, but I couldn't help share the name of a houseboat I saw during the week after seeing your post.

On a side note, I think the person on the PA was a bit confused pre-game, playing North's club song as Centrals entered the field and vice versa!

Nobody does chicken like CDFC!

Gotta love that, that's the professionalism of the NAFC!

Only thing they did right was give CDFC members free beer as the West End really tastes crap after not having anything move through the lines for 6 months.

Free Beer Free Beer Free Beer. It wasn't west end either they were given out TED'S :D

I know North have a new coach and may take a while to develope their game plan but they may be a little worried that their self proclaimed near full strength side couldn't beat a Dogs side with a few injuries to KEY players, on their home deck and first time out to impress the coach.

For Centrals i thought Dutschke was brilliant and hard at every contest. Jenner stood up at the crucial stages and O'Sullivan was great for his first league game of the year. The ressies also got up so the assualt on a top 3 spot looks good for the Dogs.

Oh and one for Dutchy. Eddie Sansbury played a very good game today. At stages was left one out in the forward fifty and looked dangerous at every contest. Finished with 3 goals and was probably the difference between the sides.

Not the report I got from a Dogs fan, went missing the 2nd half I believe

Smart marketing by NAFC with the free beer, good way to get more people in their club and $$$ over the bar as its highly unlikely the Dogs fans would have had their freebie and left

Personally i thought he was consistent throughout the game, he finished with around 15 possesions and 3 goals, which i think is very servicable.
Due to kicking a couple of goals early he then drew the extra North player to each contest, which IIRC O'Sullivan managed to slot 2 goals through him been doubled maned.

Eddie looked short of a gallop at times but when he got the ball in his area looked a class above his opponent. Even outnumbered and/or outsized managed to look like he was going to get a shot on goal. 15 touches and a few goals is about as much as you could normally ask a small forward. No doubt he could improve a hell of a lot though, which is a bit of a worry for opposition sides I would have thought. Should be nice and ready for the Anzac day game though......

Picky?
I didnt grade or crticise anything. I just asked a curious question.
No need to be so sensative mate as I was being genuine.
Still waiting on an answer and Im sure there is one as I doubt any Dogs fan would feel the need to make something up for no reason.
Cheers.

Great game to watch, both sides playing well, 100% more entertaining than the AFL I've seen lately.

Was anyone at the bar after the game surprised when a North official came down and addressed the CDFC supporters?
He was very polite and everyone was cool with what he said, but after talking about the strength of our competition and the atmosphere at the SANFL compared to WAFL and VFL, he basically said finish your beer and move along.
I enjoyed the free beer and was going to buy a few after it (just to do the right thing) but that put me off and we left, as did about 75% of the Dogs supporters in the time it took me to drink 1 beer.
Just mystified by the thinking there, i thought they would have wanted to make a few bucks.

I thought that was the whole idea, to give you a free one and then you might hang around and buy 2-3 more

if that was North at full strength . They are going to struggle when injuries occur to the likes of Allen Alleway and co. Its still a case of to much being relied on to few at prospect IMHO.

what did everyone think of young Davis the crows first round draft pick.

I thought he looked extremely ordinary sorry to say NFC.

probably cos he's a Crow's man JTC. For what it's worth I think Davis will take some time but become a very good footballer.

Not exactly what you want from a first round draft pick IMHO.

This is the third time in recent weeks you have posted some cryptic message about North not being around come the end of 2009.

If you are not going to come out and support whatever crap you have heard (or made up?) then get your hand off it and stop being a complete tosser.
