Saw in the paper that Chambo had one free, one kick and one point. WTF happened?

He was towelled that's what happened, plus Sturt's delivery wasn't real good. I think he gave away a couple of frees too !!

we'll be lucky to finish above bottom 3 this year. Chambo will be lucky to kick 60 for the season, so given he's kicked 0 in the first round it's not really a surprise to me.

Still could see bits and pieces of the Sturt game I liked but quite a bit that I didn't like. No forward line crumbers, AGAIN. Been saying this for a couple of years.
Looked a bit slow at times through the guts.
Backline was fairly good considering the pressure they were under.
Glenelg don't seem to have lost much from last year.
Hopefully this is all part of the plan which Luke stated, that the season will start slow and build as the year goes on.
You can't win premierships in March, or in Glenelgs case, at all ;)

mate we have won more flags than your mob in the last 30yrs, go and wave your flogger

Was just having a dig mate. Grab a tissue. The other Glenelg supporter who I was responding to took it the right way. 4 since 1923 or whenever you came in is not to flash is it? How many GF losses? Flogging as we speak, thanks for the suggestion ;)

IMHO I thought we had as many forward entries as the Bays but the Tigers doubled teamed Chambers (should have left a Sturt player free?), their attack on the footy was ferocious more often than not winning the 50/50's, and when Sturt did have the footy it was prised off them, such was their desire to win the footy. I thought we lacked instructional talk hence our decision making was found wanting,

First game, new players new coach we can only build and learn from Saturdays game. I heard that although Norwood won on Friday Port offered little opposition until the 3rd qtr where they rallied somewhat. Take Norwood lightly and you do so at your own peril, they have the cattle this year to be a real threat, I can't see Lower, Thomas or Thurstans getting a run for the Power as they did a job on Essendon and all but the Cornes boys played really well.(too many costly clangers)

I would like to think that after next Saturday we will be 1 and 1

Bring it on

i was just having a dig too, i will send you a couple of unused tissues ;) and our gf record is 4-13, bloody terrible but it is a fact that we have won more than the blues in the last 30 years, spelly will confirm that. as for the flogger comment ..cheersquad, floggers, flags etc yes?

I knew what you meant with the flogger thing and I would like them unused tissues cause times are tough, can't afford much of my own stuff these days.
All i'll say with the 30 year comment is yes, it's fact but it's also fact that we've won more flags this decade, this century, this millenium ;)

absolute garbage, i was there norwood jumped them & led 4.2.26 to no score in the first 12-15 minutes & port clawed its way back to get within 1 point halfway through the 3rd term when summerton dropped a chest mark for port & norwood capatalised on this mistake & goaled & got 2 more in 3 minutes & the game was effectively over, back to your comment both teams had a crack but norwood had a gameplan whereas unless timmy has tricked me port didn't & btw it was about 35 minutes between norwoods 4th & 5th goal & that was before halftime ;)

Bayman I think you just contradicted yourself

Inflight said 'port offered little opposition"
Bayman said "Norwood jumped them and led 4.2.26 to no score" (What the)
Inflight said "until the 3rd quarter where they ralled somewhat"
Bayman said "Port clawed their way back to get within 1 halfway through the 3RD QUARTER" (What the again)

Bayman Said "absolute garbage"
Inflight says "dopey turd stacker"

I will type slower in future so you can read my post properly!!!

Bays far too good again :(

A professional outfit who deserve Premiership favouritism at the moment.

I hope we learned a vital lesson from this game. 2 Quarters of Footy will never win you a game.

Don't disagree with you there about the Bays being a professional outfit sp, but I reckon you could throw a blanket over Centrals, Glenelg, Norwood and North (although the latter need to prive themselves starting this week I think)

Surely, based simply on the fact they are reigning premier and show no signs of not being around the mark again this year, Centrals would have ot be just very slighly favoured to win the flag. I'm pretty sure the Sportsbet odds would reflect this as well, Dutchy can you confirm ???

ok i'll word it this way after a slow start in the first 12-15 minutes port outscored norwood (by 4 goals) until halfway through the 3rd term when a mistake by summerton cost port dearly
