wouldnt read much into that, North had alot of kids including a 15 year old playing and played most of the last half with only 16 or 17 players on the ground as well

Eagles must get Salter motivated to his 2007 level. A fit Staples is a must. An injured Passador was always going to show up the Eagles forward replacements.

In the 2nd half [which is all I saw], McGregor did his job and kept Alleway virtually kickless but didnt do much himself and only took 1 mark and was embarrassingly beaten 1 on 1 in a marking contest with the 5' 8" Heath Younie.
If Eagle fans are basing hopes around Sharples then you are kidding yourselves as he cant cut the mustard at this level

Would have thought Eagles had 16/17 yo's playing as well Lane for one .
Mark Jeffries if he keeps coaching a team like that will make a very good league coach IMHO.BUT its only a trial game so much to early for me to say that ;)

Stewart out for minimum of 2-3

Banner may miss 1

keep an eye out this year on a young lad called Roundtree

Westbrook I suspect will replace Passador at full forward

Just to annoy the Sheik Yerbouti Westbrook can not replace Passador.Westbrook is not a number one Forward he can not play FF at league level.A Forward that plays on the second or third best defender but not the number one forward.
BUT WESTBROOKS attack on the ball and his second and third efforts yesterday were fantastic.
This game has highlighted the lack of recruiting a big forward to play at FF when Passador is injured.small forwards like Lane,Fitzgerald we have.

What about Grocke at full forward? That means a CHF needs to be found though.

IMHO Salter to FF and to quote Holden Ron needs to get him motivated on the field (kind of quote holden).
Put the ball into him at FF and he will mark it 9 out of 10 times.
Macentee if he could kick straight could be a very good CHF.
BUT watching Eagle Forwards in the league not want to kick at goal was not what I wanted to see yesterday.eagle forwards kicking goals in the seconds should have shown the league players the way to do it.in that wind get the ball into square then kick the damn goal.
Next week more small forwards will be playing.

And sorry Sheik Yerbouti ;)

U16 Eagles 15.9.99
North 1.4.10

U18 North def Eagles with a little help with the buzzer person (not me as North did this)
