He has been around for a long time. Perhaps it is just time to stop working and we don't need to look for implications.

After a career as a Player and as the Chairman of Selectors with Neil Balme, Ian has been the club’s League Director since 2004.

I'd guess his principles were greater than his Clubs in this matter, Psyber.

Yes, that's right CP, my team's $5,000 error disqualifies me from commenting on such matters :D

As for Stasa, I'll just applaud his principles and make no comment on Norwood's ;)

Separately, it's a rare event for the SANFL to actually find any club guilty of a salary cap braech.

West volunteered theirs and South were 'dobbed in', IIRC.

Not sure about Centrals, but they were on record as saying it was money well spent, so they were very repentant :)

Has any Club actually been pinged by the SANFL's investigators?

Not sure, but you'll have a crack anyway? Search function will reveal the full extent of our breach and the pettiness of it.

Speaking of records, yours is wearing out mate... ;)

So with Norwoods recruiting restrictions next year.

Can they recruit an x-norwood junior like Darren Pfeiffer if he is delisted by Carlton ??? Seeing as he was product of the local area. But would need to be recurited from Carlton.

Or if a current afl player alligned to Norwood like Aaron Kite is delisted. Could he continue his careers with the Norwood ????

My understanding is that yes that is the case mate, meaning Pfeiffer or even Nick Fosdike (if he's capable), Cleve Hughes etc, should they be available, are recruitable.

My guess is that someone like Pfeiffer would be allowed, as he'd be seen to revert to being a Norwood player once delisted. i.e. any other SANFL club would have to apply for a clearance from Norwood to secure him.
But I'd say someone like Kite would be out of the mix as his only tie to Norwood is through his AFL involvement and once that was over he would be seen to be a free agent.

So a club who cant recruit outside its zone could possibly recruit Pfeiffer from carlton and Hughes from richmond.

Way to go SANFL.

Sounds fair enough to me. If they're Norwood juniors, then i can't see why Norwood couldn't recruit them despite these sanctions against them.

Letting them come home is hardly "recruiting". Same with Fosdike if he returned.
