Saying something is completely wrong doesn't add anything to your argument. Tell us who the players are who are missing out on playing league? Who are the players who West would want who are playing locally?

All, repeat all, clubs know who is playing locally in their area and will chase any who they think can play league.

nickname is totally correct. To play league football, you either have to be super-talented or have the talent AND desire. There just aren't that many players in local leagues who are up to league standard in both talent and desire.

If there are 'dozens', tell us who just a few of them are.

I think the local SANFL club footy is given to every Auskicker but I could be wrong.

That's completely wrong mate, Ive seen dozens of players playing at local levels who with a bit more affinity with their SANFL club and the SANFL in general would be playing regular league footy. I know several in my local area who I have no doubt whatsoever would be playing league footy if brought up in a different area.
South have got a chance of turning it around because at least theyre based down here. As I said before Ill back Westies to the hilt on this one as I dont think theres anything they can do on a practical level.
If they could wave a magic wand and move the valley to Richmond and vice versa theyd be onto a winner, Id be confident of that having lived in or near both Wests inner and outer areas all of my life.
Its a fact faced by all clubs to different degrees which will never be a fully fair playground and nothing can ever really change that.
I think its worse for the western city clubs purely because of location and nothing else.

It's not wrong, it's an opinion different to yours. I don't think there are dozens of League standard players in those comps, you do. If there are then it doesn't make sense that fringe League/Reserves players get paid so much to go and play in those comps.

All, I had to post the following on the other site in response to Larry the toss bag. Some of it may be interesting. I understand nobody on this site supports his ramblings. I hope its accurate though I dont know the rookies of 2006.

Okay Larry the Loser, in order to completely dispel all the crap you've posted. To show the complete falseness that you've tried to represent as fact. Here are some FACTS to consider. Not opinion. Not made up rubbish in an attempt to try to belittle Centrals, due to obvious jealousy. It's your prerogative to want or prefer one AFL premiership to 7 SANFL flags, but as to the rest what drivel.

Consider this.
Drafted players from and including 2000. Brackets indicate those drafted to one of the local sides, Port/Crows

Westies 22 (6)
Central 17 (7)
WWT 17 (11)
Port 17 (Bezerka had 15) (4)
Glenelg 16 (4)
North 15 (2)
Norwood 11 (6)
Sturt 10 (5)
South 3 (1)
*This is as accurate as I could get

A total of 128, average 16 a year. 46 local.

Surprised yet ? Feeling a little bit foolish ? Maybe you should have checked your facts first you moron - you have zero credibility!!!!
Maybe you should re read and edit all your previous posts, what a joke.

Ho hum it must be off-season. The season for drivel to be posted.

I think our latest Premiership flag looks really nice with the others.

Have you noticed how moth eaten they get when they are more than 10 years old?

Not yet ;)

BTW - South Adelaide only three players drafted since 2000, is that correct?
That's a concerning figure.

I could be wrong dogwatcher. I found Doughty in 2000 to Adelaide, Griffen 04 Western Bulldogs and Alwyn Davey 06 Essendon.

I think South's total is 10 not 3.
Hall, Elliott, McNamara, Brogan, Jackman, Archard, Turner and the 3 mentioned.

Potentially stand corrected nickname. Brogan was taken in th 99 rookie draft, I only took the stats since 2000. Not sure about the others as I don't know their whole names. Definitely some are plausible as i couldn't work out the 2006 rookie draftees. Someone may know ?

Spot on "nickname" re Archard, came over from WA to join Souths. Looks like he was picked up in the 2006 rookie draft.

I'll ask him tonight.

Not sure now. I got the stats just from Wikipedia it also didn't have the 2001 rookie list. On another site it says Dean was 1999 rookie draft pick 26, but not on Wikipedia ???? Not mentioned in 1999 or 2000.

Was Chris Hall drafted from South Adeliade or was that the club that got him in the mini-draft after Port Power drafted him?

i'm pretty sure I have read on here somewhere that he is a local boy from Hackham, which is obviously in South's zone so I would say he was a Panther drafted to the Power ???

Ok fair enough i thought that once he had been delisted by the power he went 'home' to WA if memory is serving me correctly.
