The vibes I'm getting from around the club is that the club will not be going out of their way to keep Schwarze. His attitude does not endear himself to the club. Other key forwards not mentioned that could step up are Staples and Salter. A decent knock ruckman and a couple of decent onballers are urgently needed.

sorry guys not going to put his name out there so other clubs get a whiff

it will unfold in time who it is

in regards to Skippy..... interesting that someone earlier said "who would be happier.... the Eagles or North" ..... as i first heard about it from someone high up in North before I heard it from the Eagles?

Are North chasing him with the enticement that Ben Hart may coach them next year?

team mates at the Crows and Ben's dad is Skippy's manager....

although the Eagles are confident he will return to them as I understand......

I wouldn't be too concerned if Schwarze left the club. He is a good player and on his day can dominate and I'm sure would be on the radar of some other SANFL clubs who need a Full Forward.

As for the Eagles, I think the main area that needs attention is quality on ballers. If we can get 3 or 4 good on ballers to add to what we already have, that should see us climb back up the ladder.

No, that comment was about the 2006 Preliminary - I haven't heard anything about North wanting him.

Passador has already signed for next year.

Holden78......it's no good making a FF your main recruiting target if you can't get the bloody ball down there.

Dont know who is pulling your leg Holden but the new CEO will not be announced this week.
In fact interviews are being held this week.
Process being managed an independent recruitment company.
Board meets next week.

i was agreeing with the statement that we (eagles ) have had problems this year at getting the ball out of Centre and into our forward line.

So what should we make of those two statements Holden?

You spoke to the new CEO? (who hadn't been interviewed when you spoke to him Friday Night)
or
Did the players who told you speak to him?

Are there two Holden's (one who spoke to the supposed CEO and one who spoke to the players) or are you (and some of the players) psychic? If so what are this weeks lotto numbers and who is going to win the Magarey?
Trust the process.

If Passa has indeed signed for next year , then his contract should be performance based on games & goals . Hes good when hes going , but very much " in for a week , out for a month " at this stage of his career ; Schwarz has youth , hardness & leaping ability up on Passa , although attitude needs coaching effort ! Hey CD , maybe the club can also arrange for the independent recruitment company to sign our next lot of recruits for 09 ( couldnt be any worse thats for sure ! ) & while their at it , get them to sweet talk Mr. David Simmons to nominate for our Board ( Lord knows we need some quality , free thinking people to vote for & hes not being tempted by whatever your offering CD ! ) . See my fellow Eagles , we have money to throw at HUMAN RESOURCE firms , but gave Fuller peanuts to recruit with the last 2 years . Very strange some decisions made by our Board , like the logo change at the start of the year ; not even put to a vote to members , whats a membership worth at our club ? I dont know anyone who didnt like the bloody OLD one ! Changing the logo isnt a long way from our name & colours , and you would exspect to at least be asked ? Thats why communism doesnt work maybe ?
