Not a good thing by the League having Richard Williams umpiring a Port v Norwood game, especially a final.
That bloke is Norwood all over, you can count on Port being eliminated Sunday.

I've always thought that Williams was a Port guy.

Port never admit to pro-Port umpires - like KG who favoured them over all but Westies!
EPIGENETICS - Lamarck was right!

I don't know whether Williams is a good umpire or not, but I'm fairly confident he doesn't favour certain teams.

That still doesn't pay us back for 1996.

It'd not be a good thing by the League if they avoided appointing umpires to specific games due to the teams involved.

It's either all or none imo.

Getting the old "Port were ripped off" in early in case you lose hey?
Ever heard of an old umpire who did a few Grand Finals which Port won called Laurie Sweeney?
A more one eyed Port man you wouldn't find, not to mention ex Port player Umpire Peter Mead.
Cut the excuses , you never know your team might even win and last one more week.

Welcome to the new Port. Getting the excuses in BEFORE the match. It would bring a tear to a glass eye.
