Since I can't see the ABC2 replay this year, I have seen very little of the ABC coverage this year. Today in the 2nd half I did, and I can also say well done to CK, I liked the Hotel California line, something I haven't heard during a commentary, Dennis Cometti may borrow that one off of you!

Well unlike a lot of posters on this site, I dont know Chris Kendall from a bar of soap and therefore wont show any bias. I thought he was FAIR at best and yes I know it was his 1st gig.

Thanks very much to all of those who have taken the time this week to post on this, emails, SMS's etc - hard for me to write just how appreciated it was. Was certainly a very humbling, touching time.

All I would say though, is there are lots out there who also call our SANFL every week, as well as those that report on it in various mediums, and they certainly deserve all the support and encouragement also from the fans.

Looking forward very much to the rest of the season and the finals race hotting up now for our league - going to be a massive next few weeks for all of us who are such passionate SANFL fans!
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

I haven't had the opportunity to hear Chris's call on this game, yet, but I've heard his commentary on the Pine Lodge tapes and really enjoy his style. I have to say that I also really enjoy his writing as well, often thought provoking and always interesting.

His point about commentators is well made, that all those who call and report on our great game do it to the best of their ability and I think it's sometimes easy for us to just point out the mistakes and problems.

I watch and listen to a lot of game commentary and there are plenty of errors, but the thing that comes though to me is that most of the callers are the same as us, just loving the game.

I'm grateful that we have the opportunity to judge, because we'd be in a lot of trouble if there was no coverage.
