Yeah, you are Brad... :?

You tell me one instance from Sturday when either of the Gowans twins "interacted" with the crowd. Yes, the crowd took pleasure in giving them the bronx cheers and jibes but interaction involves more than one party responding to something and contuining on in that matter. So, let's face it, you are off the mark mate

Big Phil, I think you might need to have a word with Phil Hearden and the Life FM team. I was listening on line and I quite clearly heard either PH or JN say that one of the Gowans was getting a spray from the Rooster fans, when he got pulled for the 25mtr penalty. (I even made mention of it on the gameday thread on the Roost). Then one of them (not sure which one it was though) definitely said that Gowans had come out off the bench and was giving the fans a spray back.

John,

I was positioned smack bang in the middle of the interchange gates, right on the boundary line fence and I saw and commented every interchange from both sides. James Gowans got dragged for his indiscretion and at of course copped the bronx cheers but trust me, at no stage did he give anything back to the crowd. I will say he had to get straight on the phone / headset up to Roy Laird and from what I could see and hear, James didn't listen to a word of Roy's, just took his frustration out by carrying on and throwing the head set back to the bench.

A bit of a dummy spit one would say. As for Chris Gowans, he came off for rotations throughout the course of the game and at no stage did he go back at the crowd. The boys calling it from the back of the stands must have assumed he was going back at them but I was 5 metres away from them the whole game and didn't see anything to suggest otherwise, trust me.

Fair enough Phil. Trust me though, I didn't just say it to give you more grief, but as Phil H has more or less, partly confirmed that the Gowans didn't geve a spray back, I'm happy to concede. I genuinely thought I heard one of the Life team say it.

Anyway no great shakes, back to the topic as smaccer quit rightly says.

How do we know it was a Centrals supporter that made the comment? Might have been a North supporter trying to fire his player up...or maybe even a supporter from a rival club trying to get the Doggies in a bit of strife.

Absolutely not TB, both those 2 gentleman have been great to work with and I love talking to them discussing all things football. All I am saying is that with their restricted views, at the back of the grandstand and 150m away from the interchange bench, I think my position of right next to the interchange stewards box is slightly better from an obvserving point of view.

I know what I saw and heard and to be honest, I must admit that I was actually suprised to witness the Gowans boys NOT give something back to crowd who were jeering them off. They certainly took their frustration out in other ways both on the field and on the headset to Roy Laird but at no stage did I see them "interact" with the crowd in the literal sense of that word.

What a silly comment to make TB. You really are an enigma. Some of youor posts are great, contribute to the debate and then you post something like this.

Phil, why you bothered to answer this bait is beyond me as you are wasting the skin on your fingertips mate.

JTC - there are conspiracies everywhere you look. I want to believe ;)

Away from the frivolity, I think if the person knew about Lonie's father and used the issue to deliberately bait him, then that is disgraceful.

I guess had you not been incorrect on what you'd heard on the Life FM call, I would not have challenged BP on what was deemed to be a challenge against the Life commentators...

Big Phil, when TB says that you keep a comb in your sock at all times, is he just stirring? It sounds far fetched but I understand your desire to look at your best for all media commitments.
