Broadbent was also reported for charging.

Embarassing performance today.
Strength was shown by the members who attended presentations tonight - thank you for being there - No awards given

Our President Mr Les Stevens spoke to all tonight and whilst clearly very upset by our efforts and reminding all that such displays arent acceptable he did urge everyone to stick together - members, players, coaching staff, supporters - all those with the club to fight our way back to the winners circle.

Sh*t of a day - should have been celebrating 100 games for Treebs with a win instead we are hurting bad.

As long as that goes down to the heart of the players and the club, the hurt, and not just the face of the players to try and get some steel back into the performances. Because that is not on from our club, what we've come to know for the past decade is far and above some of the crap this season.

Of course, I'll still go to the matches and support; it's better to be known as a die-hard than a bandwaggoner.

We can't seem to get that 4 from 4 this season. Apart from the first lot of Norwood matches.

The problems were the same as against Port. Lack of manning up. Are the players told to zone off (not just from kick ins)? It doesn't work. One on one in general play around the field and I'd back us to win a fair few games. Some players don't work hard enough for each other. Most do, but ALL must. This may be a reason why Schwarze was in the reserves today instead of in the league.

Some players are still learning the game, but this year I haven't seen much action on the field from the senior players to teach them. In past years, players like Cica, Colville or Inkster would send a rocket up a player if they didn't do the right thing or get in the right position. Today, for example, on the members wing Daniel needed to run at 45 degrees to cut off the next kick and instead got into no mans land and ended up chasing the player all the way down the field, luckily it was touched on the line. Simple footy smarts seem to be lacking.

As mickyj mentioned earlier, North flooded back and we continued to bomb long, making it an impossible task for Passador. On the occasions he was clear, our kicking to him was terrible. Surely it's worth changing things up, both in the way we bring the ball forward and also the personnel in the forward line.

The players should be shown the incident where Powell went back against the run of play and was collected by Gill (who has nothing to worry about btw, was a good hard contest). This is the commitment that should come from anyone who puts on the guernsey.

The personnel is there, but I think as far as making finals is concerned, this year is gone. The rest of the games should be used to build for next season.

It is very hard not to be upset CD when the seconds play so well and the league dished up another bad game .
But don't worry I will not jump off the band wagon !!

Yes this maybe true Aerie but it certainly didn't have a direct impact on the result of the game. I wouldn't say we even got beaten by a better side because I don't believe that is the case either. We lost that game ourselves. Open and shut case no more need be said.

I'm glad I'm the first post for this thread, because the first thing you'll see upon entering this thread on the first page is that quote from me in the preview.

After all the talks pre-game about rabbles. When all is said and done - In actual fact the Eagles are indeed the rabble themselves.

Too many talls - simple decision really he just happened to be the unlucky casualty this week previously it's been Grocke to miss.

Now you are being to kind to north as they at times had trouble with red from blue.In the early stages of the game. And both teams miss used the wind pre half time .
and of course the eagles could not use it very well in the last.

He is giving the impression that the Eagles were the worst team on the field for the entire game.
North dominated many parts of the game but could not score goals (both seconds and league I watched both games from start to finish)until Nick started to dominate.
Thats what i am getting from his comments.

And perhaps they should have included some fully fit smalls to play up forward on a permanent basis rather than have runs on the ball!!

I hear the eagles have talked to quite a few new players ,also that rodgers is leaving at the end of the year thank god every one hopes fullasaboot goes with him.

i wonder if u would have posted this if it wasnt for a gilly inspired come back came. fair dinkum mate u have had it pretty good since ron took over , who would u have as his replacement?

IMO ron has done a great job.

To quote family members of one former assistant coach now coaching at a team with Blue in it  .Ron was awful in the coaching box to set in his ways would not try new things .Unless his then 2 assistant coaches ganged up on him .This was in 2006 and we are all fairly sure who really won that flag.
One of these two assistants was also very unhappy with the coaching staff at Prospect !!!
Perhaps both WWT and NA missed out on new young coaches a couple of years ago.

Yes we are grateful to Ron, but like Bruce Winter who had an ending very much like Rons .Its time for a change next year a new broom new ideas and get the cheque book out .
Needed Fullforward the current one is going home according to everyone.
On ballers needed not in the biagi mode thank you.
Tall defedners who will not get drafted by afl clubs in the 23 to 25 yo range.
Small forwards once prolific now almost extinct .

And who would replace Ron .No idea but Pyemans name keeps coming up !!
Cheers

Pyman WTF no way!
