Eagle supporters watch out for a young 16 y.o. kid in the reserves named Matthew Goldsworthy, he is from Minlaton. Only played with the reserves twice for two third bests given by the club. Very talented heady footballer. Plays a lot like Scotty West of the Western Bulldogs, not overly quick and is also a left footer. Can only train here once a week but has a big engine. Knowing Ron's liking to play youngsters he might get a league game soon. He's also a very good cricketer.

Eagles have played 40 in their league team sofar this season.

And dont I have egg on my face  .Very Very well done Luke Jarrad that was his best game for the year .
There were alot of voices out there yesterday last week could only hear Mark Passador.
Its a pity JJ and Nick MALINOVSKI didnt get a mention I thought along with Petrenko .Because those 3 guys with their pace helped win the day .And yes I know they sometimes turned over the ball .But they gave the Eagles a new dimenson PACE SPEED call it what you will .

As I walked to the toilet just before the seconds finished i missed fuller looking at the team whiteboard .On the way back Treeby was sitting on the seat watching the seconds game. One can assume Ferrets post about him being one of the players injured at training may have been correct.
Hicks was also missing can only assume the same about him.

So that's 6 players injured, along with Robert Fiacchi still recovering from that knee injury, Staple, James Stewart and Redden also have had injuries recently.

And I forgot Passador.

Redden was back in seconds yesterday Spelly .And I though Wright showed a bit in the two's or you could say he looked Classy.

It was 2,276.

The crowds for meetings between the two clubs at Noarlunga have been:

1995: 2,515
1996: 1,565
1997: 1,709
1998: 1,984
1999: 2,025
2000: 1,177 - the swimming pool match
2001: 2,273
2002: 1,055 - awful day, coldest I've experienced at a day match
2003: 1,763
2004: 1,831
2005: 1,040 - another awful day, rain for most of the day
2006: 2,021

So the 2,276 is the best attendance since the first match in 1995.

I know, I tried to take that into account. Great to see a lot of Eagles fans on the hill even though we (were) 7th. And for a match between two of the three lowest drawing crowds, and being 6th vs 7th, that crowd is pretty good. Well done to those who went along. :)

Who ever it was on the hill who had a crack about Mr Torney's lack of hair after Mr Torney had had a crack at Henchells Mop as Trent was lining up for a shot, Beautifully delivered and timed. Even saw a grin on Torney from that GEM.
