Trust me a great game is 2 good sides on the day playing well , I thought there was only 1 good side today and that was the bays. I said it, it was a great game if you like two teams going at it hammer and tongs no quarter asked and no quarter given. For us we were fortunate that Sturt after haveing two relatively free games where they could run and carry weren't used to or weren't able to adapt to the pressure orientated game.

Having said that it is easier to think of it as being a great game when you win.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Smart call TM , I think South did us no favours last week that was a traing drill. But not taking anything away from the Bays , very good . Top 3 , yes I agree.

 I wouldn't go that far NFC,

Sturt will be there in September when the whips are cracking, we will be there too IF we maintain our intensity and work rate from yesterday.

Well done Bays, too good for us all over the ground. Seemed every time the ball hit the ground there were Black and gold jumpers everywhere. Agree Tassie, it was a great contest, 2 sides really hard at it. Bays = a very good unit, are serious contenders. Well done also to the Bays fans who visited Jacks after the game...

Well done Bays. Smart, wet weather footy, fierce tackling and excellent defence. Blues looked sluggish from the outset - whether that was due to the soggy turf, a mental lapse (we're not quite your bitches yet but have the fishnets on) or the Bay's total dominance in the centre square I don't know. But a thoroughly deserved win which really, should have been by more. Should they get their forward line sorted out, providing other options than McConnell, The Bays will be a real finals threat.

Great win by the lads, only got to game at start of 2nd qrtr but looked like the boys had the goods over Strut all arvo. Kudos to Chambers great forward though seems to hang on to Sammy everytime (hence free at 3/4 time!!!).
Chating to a few of the lads after the game in The Bay they all talked with a belief in themselves and their teammates.
Congratulations to Mulsey (100th) and Bodey (50th), loved it when team was walking off oval after the win, all the lads looked pumped!!
Centrals this Sunday coming, Smash Em!!

OCT, how can you say it wasn't a great game ? it wasn't a 'pretty game' but it certainly was a great game, to me it was 2 sides giving it there all & we were marginally better around the stoppages, the centre & our gang tackling was more evident than sturts & these are imho the 3 reasons why we won & both these sides will go close at the end of the year, mind you only 4 teams have realistic chances of going top central, glenelg, north & sturt (put alphabetically)

i'll say it again it was a great game

Great contest!
Both teams hard at it.
Plenty of hard nuts at the Bay this season lead by Ty Allen

Chambers is a great player.
The Rudolph Chambers dual was very even but Chambers still managed 6.
Wonder how the blue boys would go if he went down with an injury?

Go Tiges!!
Yeah, Naah,..... Bollocks!

I really enjoyed yesterdays game, both sides were fierce at the ball & tackling. Both these teams will be around the mark come finals time.
Their last handfull of games have been great to watch.
Glenelgs pressure was great yesterday....the first team to truly test us that way this season.
Bring on the Dogs & Eagles for the Bays & Blues this week & we might see if the tide is turning ??

He was doing special comments for Life. His voice is only marginally better suited to radio than, say, Tony McGuinness; and his comments were mostly about Sturt players, but I s'pose this is to be expected. Mostly I thought he gave a pretty good insight with the comments he made. Would be worth getting him back behind the microphone.

i heard him as well while i was there & i thought early he was too one sided (would be very hard not to be) but as the game wore on i as well thought he was doing a pretty good job overall & i still think they missed his grunt around the packs & i don't understand why norwood, west or south haven't spoken to him about playing
