If the Bays are happy with their look then good luck to them as there's nothing wrong with it.

To the mathematically minded, an upside down A is known as the universal quantifier. Its meaning is basically "for all". Its partner is known as the existential quantifier, designated by a back-to-front E and meaning "there exists".

So at a guess, the North guernsey could be interpreted something like this:

"for all the good this Mistral sponsorship brings us, our guernsey still doesn't look half as good as the Bays"

FWIW, this news article has been an excellent publicity exercise: any publicity is good publicity. I for one like the new guernsey better; it doesn't stick out half as much as the old Protec patch. Easily the best sponsorship design since Associated Midland.

yeah but have you made your mind up if you like it Wedgie ? Is it in the right place , background colurs ok ?

Apparantly Berleigh the Bra company saw a photo of D Jarman and are interested in sponsoring ? Stipulatons were not on the right breast , which I dont think leaves much room ?

As universal quantification is an attempt to formalize the notion that something (a logical predicate) is true for everything, or every relevant thing then its saying North is the one true football club or that we're the only club truly relevant to all! :D

we've already copyrighted that design - that's $100 you owe us for unauthorised publication

The wider sash does make it easier for stats work and havent Gliderol made an excellent use of $ for they must be way in front with the TV and everyone talking about them on the jumper.
Good luck to them as a sponsor and to the GFC for the change that has certainly got noticed.

(a bit like the Hills logo being seen every time folk had a go at our jumper)

CD is OTM!

Gliderol are loving this! We have all been sucked in to the marketing after spending 3 pages basically discussing the Bay's sponsor. Folks, this is why they spend the $$$. It will never go away now this sort of publicity is GOLD for them.

Personally - don't give a rats about sponsor logos but FWIW I agree the 2008 Bay jumper is much better than plonking a big white square on a black and gold guernsey.

Forget about it I say - its still 21 guys running around representing the club.
In between signatures .....

Tell me your kidding bayman. The new bays jumper is as good as a horses ass. What about the heritage of the jumper, the pride taken in the black jumper with the gold sash. To have a sponsors name splashed straight down the sash is an absolute joke. The bays have sold their soul to the devil for a little cashola. All I can say is this Gliderol deal must worth a mint because they've got the name on both sides of the jumper. Darren Chandler you are a disgrace to yourself and your club. Bones has everyright to be pissed about it.

bWAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

This from a team that changes colours of jumpers more times then they have played finals in the last decade!

P.S. And sucked in to you for not realising what a sensational publicity stunt this has been for the Bays....

And also...

remind me again....

Which team had a special "one off' jumper 1 or 2 seasons ago as a thank you to their sponsors?

(But then the broadcast game on the ABC was changed to another match....)

Mate we have played in finals for the past 9 years straight - how many have the bays played in that time. We may have had a few jumper changes but never have we disgraced any of those jumpers like the current bays jumper. The one off jumper that you refer to was exactly that it was a one off effort that was specifically designed to say thankyou for a longtime committment. Unlike the Gliderol company who have been on the seen for 2 minutes and taken up 90% of your jumper.

Starts bottom left corner, finishes top right corner.ie parts of it are on the left side, the right side, the top side and the bottom side. It actually invades 100% of the front of the jumper the more I think about it. :-k

not a huge fan of name going down sash, but hey its $$$$$$$$$$$$

would be more interested if the club decided to get away/clash strips.

Didn't West Adelaide have something similar in the 80's with Banner as their sponsor?

A few things to come out of this situation

1. McDermott should stick to charity work - he's hopeless as a football commentator
2. Gliderol may start putting in more $$$ with all this press about the jumper
3. At least there's only 1 sponsor on Glenelg's, unlike the 45 million South have on theirs (they even removed the club logo for a sponsor).
4. Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill,
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10
