These games are obviously programmed in advance and abc always makes an effort to allocate a fairly even distribution of games based on club and venue. In hindsight probably not game of day status but Eagles v Port games are always great contests.

How about supporting your club in troubled times instead of criticising or jumping ship. The club needs all of us right behind them. Don't write us off yet. I think you maybe suprised this week.

The argument that the undefeated teams game should be televised is also very compelling.

After our performance at Glenleg yesterday the pressure is certainly on the eagles to perform. That includes our supporters - if ever we need you at the ground supporting and willing and urging the boys to there first win of the season it is this saturday at Woodville Oval.

As i said earlier this week we need all Eagles fans on board to support the boys. We cant accept last weekend's effort - it wasnt what we expect but that is in the past - lets help get the boys over the line tomorrow.

That's a cheap shot considering this is only round 3. I seem to remember 2006 we lost the first 2 games and still went on to win the premiership. A little too early for that sort of call I would have thought wedgie.

Nice to see some positive thinking EAGLEHASLANDED I have everything crossed for a win tomorrow .

Passionate and Positive all the way mickyj. No point in being any other way. I just wished that other Eagles on SAFooty would live by the same philosophy. I'm sick of the way some of our supporters give up too easy and act negatively. C'mon Eagles !!!!!

I was astounded when I read he had been named in the reserves again. I saw most of the 2's last week and he looked fantastic. The only thing I can think about is the lack of proper match fitness. Groecke had played both games in the 2's before a call up this week. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a late change though.

Which ever team looses this week i wouldnt think its panic stations just yet , both teams have started slower then expected but i still expect both to come home strong and play finals . Too many quality players not to .

Pt Adelaide have a good record at Woodville Oval , Maggies 21-30
What i dont know about football isnt worth knowing .

Dear Spelly, when did Port not win a game until May?? IMO they will be 0-3 after tomorrow night and then 0-4 after playing North next week. The following week they have the bye.

Expect their first week against West May 3.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Eagles from memory have a good record at Alberton .

I was told last week that WWT would struggle for the first four weeks .After 4 weeks watch out .

I said at the start of the season that 'we' would struggle to make the 5.

I stand by that!! 8)

Lindsay is a HUGE loss to the club :(

I don't think its the loss of Lindsey so much LEH as much as the ball carriers on ballers mid fielders, ruck rovers ,rovers.what ever you wish to call them i can see the ruck men getting the tap but no one carries the ball away.WWT or we never covered the loss of skippy or now vince.
Also the entry in the forward line (last week)left a lot to be desired in my eyes. When you have onballers actually getting the ball and ingoring free fowards like staples and kicking points or out bound on the full its not on.
I hope this has been rectified by Ron and the coaching staff.

Travis Lane played in the State U16 team last year. Played eight U17 games and kicked 17 goals. Is very small and if he gets a game would expect him to play forward pocket or HF flank.

The choice is between a player who kicked 9 goals in the reserves last week and a player who kicked 8 in the LEAGUE game against North. I believe Passador can only play at FF. If Schwarze is not at the goal front and the main target he seems to sulk........lets see how it goes this week. Although Schwarze only kicked one goal last week I think it would be harsh to get rid of him.

Mickyj where did you get the notion that the Eagles would take four weeks to warm up and then go like a bull at a gate. Pre-season I clearly remember getting an email from coach Fuller lauding our tough, full-on pre-season and that we would "hit the ground running at the start of the season" we have certainly hit the ground but have forgotten the running part.

Good clean delivery into our forward zone for a change with Schwarze and Salter close to goal we should be able to kick a winning score.
