I wish you could get more of your supporters to the ground, it would make for a much better attmosphere, but unfortunatly a large number seem to fall into the "Eagles fans who can't get to the games " catagory, especially when the game is televised, or your up against the Cows.

It's a bit hard for me as I'm at the Underage games and am unable to go to league games.

We'll forgive you.;)

Only if we are finally shown the running sheet. :)

Oh yeh, the running sheet. I thought Big Foot stole that and sold it to Elvis aboard an alien space craft during a tea party with the Loch Ness Monster and the Bunyip.
Running Sheet... PAH!

One good thing about no broadcast of the Centrals v Norwood game is there will be no media beat up if two people in the crowd touch each other

Why didn't who was responsible for determing tv scheduling wait until it was confirmed before releasing it publicly?

Not sure what you mean GWW

ABC TV first announces the games, then the SANFL allocates the Radio around it.

Only change is that once the allocation was announced RPH requested a change exchanging the South v West @ Noarlunga with Norwood v Central @ Elizabeth.

To be fair to RPH they can't do both, they only have one broadcast kit & its unlikely they would make it from one ground to the other in time (including pack up & set up time of course).

ie the change has nothing to do with the TV.

Oh ok PhilH, misread your initial post, thought it was outlining changes in tv scheduling, my bad, and my apologies :)

Great to see Adelaide's 2 most appropriate SANFL Radio Stations covering Sturt's first two vital games.

Looking forward to catching up with Paul Blandis, Db, John N and Phil for the two HUGE matches in defining Sturt's 2008 Season.

Good luck to all teams. :D :D :D

No surprises round 1 abc game of day. Would have thought in round 2 - Sturt vs Central would have been the abc game of day and again round 3 no surprises again.

ROUND TWO
Sat April 5
Glenelg v Eagles - RPH
Port v South - ABC TV / No Radio
Sturt v Central - LIFE
West v Norwood - No Broadcast

I know the Port v South game could be seen as some sort of engineered revenge match but surely Sturt v Centrals should be on TV, especially if the Doggies have a good win over Port tonight. Oh and for the other reason, that I'll be over on the West Coast for that day. :(

On the positive side.. with no TV coverage & a combination of a Dogs win tonight and reasonable weather next week could result in a lock out at Unley!

How many can they fit in nowadays??

Hazy, I've quickly tried to find out but had no real luck, I think it's capped at around 7500. Not sure though.

Hazy, had a better look and it can't exceed 8000. Not that it would.

Cheers Cutter! I agree, 5000-6000 is the most these 2 clubs could expect at this venue.
