South will flog them.

Possibly. South and to a lesser extent Norwood are an unknown quantity this year. With a number of league players not playing on both sides and the fact that its a trial game, anything can happen.

Trail game people, who cares about the result. No injuries is the best result.

Not at this stage, but in the paper it says that the 17s and 19s games will be played tonight. What gets me is that people have to work like me and can't make it for me to help out.

Can't please everyone

Exactly my point. The result could be anything.
I'm just happy to watch a footy game.
Let me add that the playing surface looks a treat, probably the best I've seen at Norwood.

South won by about 3 points mate ... Outplayed Norwood for most of the night with inaccuracy perhaps keeping the Legs in the contest.

South's workrate and cohesion was better than Norwood's and they dominated the centre circle all night, and worked pretty well as team right throughout the night.

Norwood's new faces showed some good signs and I'd think there's a fair bit of improvement to come, and finding the right balance between existing players and newcomers.

Leg's still have a few in's to squeeze in ... Unfortunately for South fans Im unable to say who is still to come into your lineup.

Oh, and I reckon Benny Warren must have kicked 6 or 7 tonight, and their taller positional players were better than Norwoods, as was their structure.

All-in-all I'd imagine both teams would be happy with the hitout - I didn't notice any injuries to either camp.

Pretty happy with South's effort after last year.
Worked hard and for each other unlike the rabble they cleared to other clubs this year.
Warren had a rest for the last quarter. With South dominating centre bounces through Parry and James Boyd could possibly have had a chance for ten.
South had ten more scoring shots which was indicative of the control they had of the game.
With Torney. Sampson and a few others to consider here's hoping for a much better year!

We'll need Doyle that's for sure! Minson looks in better condition but still struggles in ruck contests. Phillips was and will be a star, Trotter and Walker both showed some good signs. Was a good contest for a trial game with the score tight throughout.

Typical of Warren to shine in a match that didn't mean anything and without his bette noir, Brett Zorzi, playing.
