You may be right re the max of 35000 MT
BUT as up to 10000 or more could/would be there to be seen and attend as an event - going to the Oval rather than going to the game - is 25000 max for the real footy fans enough?

for any Sturt GF CD I think it would be fine given the number of DB scarves in the members area on Elim/Qual day.......

there were still few tear stained reminants of DB scarves at the recent test match....

However I'm with you, Footy Park for the GF, its our (the SANFL's) ground so it should be kept for the GF and IMHO I'd like to see more finals there too (and I'm a SACA member).

Gotta be kidding mate, you would get 35,000 min. You could also throw sturt in there aswell. The 97 GF was a sellout and the 99 GF had 40,000 (39,135).

But the 96/96GF's both had higher attendance than 97 - a gradual decline in GF attendance has been evident since then, with only small variances for different teams in the game (North in '07 for example).

A Port v Norwood GF would have a big crowd, but over 35,000 would be surprising, IMO.
