But it also doesn't always tell the truth! Could they have done it with the salary cap restrictions in place?

Will Centrals hunger and passion wane in 2008?

The Bulldogs have set the pace - up to the rest of us now to meet the challenge.

Its not hard, do what they do only better, they are just doing what Port did in the 90s but better. The challenge is the actual doing....

you will never win 6 in a row
port had to keep winning to keep their noses in front of the afl.
centrals are a good club but sadly not a great club.
i suppose you have to start somewhere though.

leave the comedy to the experts mate

What carp  . This Centrals side is a damn good side and every bit as good as the Port sises of the 90's and it's going to take another damn good side to stop them. I don't think Port is that side malleebull  .

To stop the Port domination of the SANFL, Woodville was invented....

It didn't work.

It took the AFL to cease the Port domination of the SANFL IMHO. :-k ...

What is going to cease the Dogs..?

CD might dis-agree....

Bringing Woodville was a plot to weaken the western suburbs, in particular West Torrens so that Port and Norwood would rule the competition - my conspiracy theory!!!!

Whether the SANFL meant to do that or not it happened.
I heard a caller on 5aa the other day saying they lost a huge amount of players when Port got Salibury north. He named the players that went on and played in all those flags back when port were winners .
It should be pointed out that Norwood grabbed Tea tree gully from West torrens i wonder what players that torrens lost.

At the end of day doesn't really matter Centrals have won a huge number of flags and My beloved Eagles formed into a fantastic club.

So whats happened to Port and Norwood since Centrals and Eagles have reached the top of the ladder.

Having grown up playing club/association footy with and against a lot of those players mentioned, I can assure you that they would have likely been different footballers had they been in Centrals zone.

We were appalling at junior development at that time and Port were sensational. We probably would have never seen Wanganeen win a Brownlow or Hidges kick 150+ goals in a season.

You could be right Smac.
It took a while for the club to develop pride in its local zone.

Again, I'd think Allan Stewart played a great role in that situation evolving into what it's become today.
