I embarassed myself today by not cheering, clapping or yelling once, just rested against the back fence on the hill catching about 50% of the game if that not even battering an eyelid once.
First time I've ever done that at the footy.
There wasn't 3000 Bays fans, more like 300, getting a bit carried away with the 3k remark.
Eagles supporters weren't out in quantity but they were there in quality, couldn't say a bad comment about any of them that made it there.
LEH somehow found me in the last quarter and congratulated me, I think he was a bit surprised to see how blank I was looking especially when I asked him who was in front.
90% of the Eagles cheer squad said gudday to me when I walked past after the banner congratulating me and the Cats for yesterday.
I think my missus thought I was having a mental breakdown when I joined her and the kids for the last 5 mins of the game and just looked blankly into the sky.
Between Geelong winning their first premiership in 44 years and North getting in their first GF in 16 years I really didn't know how to react.
I promise to get my head back together for next week when I will start cheering again.
Thanks to the dozens of people who sought me out today to say hello and shake my hand, hug me and give me kind words, its much appreciated.

I will laugh if they get under 29000.Then we will see and hear the excusses!

You're not a fan of the SANFL if you would laugh at them getting a poor crowd, that's pathetic.

why would u laugh... if they get 15000. that is still double what it would have been if wwt were in it.woodwt wrote:Sploosh wrote:While the large number of red and white fans will be great to see, I don't think there will be more than 29,000 at the GF. Whilst it doesn't impact on me and my family as we have free tickets from numerous sources I do agree with your point. The cost increase from minor round to the minor-majors is minimal. The subsequent increase to the GF is unreasonable and extreme.
