Club administrators and the SANFL should be sacked i agree with ya LEH.

Pathetic really Sunday would of been ideal, me thinks people want the local game to die.

As for Kermit Kornes he really has not got a clue about local footy, he is too entranced with his boys at the Poower and the luvly boys at the Crows he really has lost touch !!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF !!!!!!!!!!!
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFF.

Hit em hard let them get up and hit em again.

The rumour about our U19's playing is spot on.

Great chance for our talented juniours to play on the beautiful Adelaide Oval too.

Very strange that South wouldnt want to play on Sunday as all their home games have been on a sunday this year, and the last time we played nwd it was against a crows game and the crowd was embarrasing. As well as that a sunday game would probably have media coverage which can only be a benefit.

Maybe south did want sunday but the league and nwd over-ruled this.

Yep, you'd have to be a pretty ardent supporter to bother walking through the gate at Noarlunga this weekend...

When was the last time an SANFL match received less than 1000 spectators?

September 8 2007.

First game I'll miss in about 5 years. Disgraceful effort SANFL.

The article does say that the 'Round 23 match program has been determined on home Club requests' which would suggest that South wanted the game on Saturday.

How can it be the SANFL's fault if you chose to turn your back on your club "for the first time in 5 years" NFC?

Did they or did they not have the option to schedule the game on Sunday?

Yes they had the option. Do you or do you not have the option of which game to attend?

Normally I don't agree with Fester, but as a Crows member if I was in Adelaide this weekend I know what game I would be watching....hopefully I would be able to get a donut at Oval Ave....maybe the one that CD had earmarked for Wedgie.....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

 Of course I have the option. But with any common sense I could have watched the Crows on Saturday, attended Norwood on Sunday.

Look on the bright side, if Norwood was on the Sunday you'd miss a good AFL game, now because they're playing on Saturday you only miss a crap AFL game. They've done you a huge favour, you should be thankful!

Fair call NFC, I see your dilema, I thought I'd be missing the Geelong game so a bonus for me! What about a battery operated mini TV?
Altough given the choice Norwood hands down for me every time!

Why dont you always agree with me Tassie? I'm never wrong, just ask me!

What are the facilities like at Noarlunga? Is there anywhere where you can be where there is a tv and still watch the game? Woodville Oval would have upstairs in the club rooms (I assume there is a tv up there?) and the Woodville CC where those that want to view both can do so.

Noarlunga have great facilities as they have a glassed area at the top of the grandstand, it may be members only however mind you they could fit the entire crowd for Saturday up there, should open it up to all, it might encourage a few more to get along.

For the life of me I can't fathom why Nwd vs Sth is on Sat.
South has gone to great lengths to promote Sunday games to enable it to attract community footballers to the games from the great southern league and has publicly spruiked its successes. Hey, its a great approach. Come the final round though and their last home game is scheduled for the Saturday.... What the? Oh, and let me guess, who do most Nwd and South fans barrack for in the AFL? Yeah, the Crows, who are scheduled to play on Sat afternoon. I just cant work out the reasoning. The only thing I can think of is that given the two clubs are not in the finals, they just want to get the game over with and out of the way so they can start thinking about the 2008 season.
