Bays picking them up too are they? Top 5 a dead cert this time!

Nothing is a certainty with the Bays ;)

... besides disappointment.

Me neither Mots. The man is a huge asset at SANFL level. I can't forget his performance against Sturt in the 2016 Qualifying. In one play he beat 3 Sturt defenders on his own. Basically just out-muscled them and goaled from close range.

I have heard that Eddy has watched the Panthers play at every opportunity this past year.
I have also heard that he would have returned to Victoria had he not been rookie listed by the Power in 2017.

The first rumour comes from a closer source, I tend to lean towards that one.

You're correct therisingblues, Brett did attend a number of South games when time allowed, the Panthers would love to have him back however i think returning to Melbourne is his priority for career prospects more so than football prospects.

Eddy went to every game South played when not having Port commitments. Joined the huddles, great close friendships with the players and a few other factors that may keep him at South in 2018.

That said, Melbourne could be a option employment/career wise.

Time will tell.

This probably needs a thread of its own but it is disappointing reading of the retirements of so many player in the mid to late 20s in SANFL. Its probably a sad indictment on the competition that players see no future and perhaps move to lesser leagues for more money.

Brett was signed to play for South in 2017 & 2018 prior to being drafted by Port.

Would seriously love Hollywood back at the club for 2018.

Cheers BP.
I wasn't sure if they made one during the Centrals era, or if we had to go back to the Hodgeman days.

We played everyone and beat everyone during that era - except south and...Port.

Pencil us in for bottom 2, if we lose cj and Glenn, unless we can draft some midfield "guns", which I doubt it. Depressing.

Josh Glenn officially is an official OUT for the Dogs, retiring from SANFL football.

Confirmed by the man himself, on his Social Media pages this afternoon.

Will be playing in the BLG Competition again with Willaston.
