Talking to my nephew a Bullants player the Bullants are quite confident. Looking at the sides the Bullants side seems quite strong with all the Carlton players but Claremont do have a few West Coast and Freo players. Hope its close and a Tigers win but I think the Bullants might be a bit stronger But heres hoping!!!!!

Why is a South Australian (Kane Cornes) commentating a game in Queensland between a Western Australian team and a Victorian team with a coach based in New South Wales (Kevin Sheedy) and a New Zealander (Wayne Schwass) at an empty stadium.

One of the more bizarre situations in the history of Australian football...

Claremont 7.6
Bullants 3.0

2 minutes from half time off the tv but at a guess half hour or so delayed.

Haven't read the threads about Rucci/Port Adelaide lately?

Very very happy with that result. Bullants played better in the second half with their press but the margin was too great for them to make up. Love watching Claremont play the way they throw the ball around. Must surely rate a favourite for the title along with Williamstown now. The question is will they get a game in WA now or will they travel to Adelaide to play either Port or North. They deserve a game at home but would love to see them come to Adelaide so I can watch them play live.

The foxtel cup game between Claremont & Northern Bullants was a ripper with a WAFL club showing great skill and poise and I believe that they would take it right up to the Dogs from Elizabeth but we will never know as they decided not to play.
A big pay day is awaiting the Claremont Tigers if they can win 2 more matches $180k. Next match is against either Port Adelaide or North Adelaide.

A bit of history trivia. Claremont and Port Adelaide have only ever played each other once at the end of the 1971 season in the Rothmans cup a tribute series of matches following the retirment of Graham "Polly" Farmer.

Claremont 10.6 (66) defeated Port Adelaide 3.5 (23)

Think you will find the $180K is the total prize fund for the whole comp. From memory the winner will get around $40K

I think your right that might been the reason why a lot of clubs opted out of the competition. But still $40k is better than nothing especially for a club at state level. National exposure is good as well if you land a sponsor that is not in contradiction to the AFL.

All I say is go TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw about a half of the game. I didn't hear or understand what both Kane Cornes and Sheedy were doing commentating, the third guy seemed to know the players. The standard was pretty good, with some pretty good goals. It was pretty funny, given it seemed like the crowd was about 100, you could hear a guy yelling out, right by their sound microphone. I can't recall either teams sponsor. It would be interesting to know how many AFL listed players each team had. I assume the bullants had more.

Yes they did. All the coach is doing is looking after the AFL listed players as he is appointed by Carlton and it is causing unrest amongst the rest of the players. As expected the AFL listed players are there because that is their aligned club and as a result they play like individuals. Whilst Claremont's AFL listed players are Claremont players to begin with thus they want to play well not only for themselves but the club as well because it is their club.

North probably the first side now to show they dont give two hoots about the comp with the side they picked for the game against Port. some of these guys only weeks ago were playing in Div 1 Amateurs and even U18's.

Sorry very worried about the entire mind set out at Prospect at the moment

So North lost? Shame. It would have been nice to see one of the 2 SANFL clubs take out the Mickey Mouse trophy.
