It is very important to the WAFC Management that supporters are kept informed and maintain a positive focus on supporting the football as the Bloods boys aspire to be the best.
It has not been an easy time financially for the Club, and changes in the environment have forced us to reassess our budgets and plans in 2013. Significant adjustments were made at the beginning of the year to ensure the Club operated within its financial means. The Club has budgeted for both an operating profit and operating surplus at the end of the year. We still remain on track to achieve this result unfortunately the timing of a significant revenue item budgeted to be received in December 2012 has been delayed which has caused some cash flow issues. These adjustments will improve the long term viability of the Club however the impact is not always seen immediately. Be assured we won’t become complacent about our financial position.
I thank our suppliers and partners for their support and understanding as we work through some challenging times. It is disappointing that a major company can place you on hold for exceeding their 7 day terms for a $100 account but will take over 90 days to pay their account.
Like most SANFL clubs, we rely too heavily on the performance of our licensed club operations to support our football department activities. While our spend on our football department to remain competitive is similar to most other SANFL clubs, the revenue we derive from our Licensed Club operations is $1.5m (after tax) below some other clubs we are competing against. Therefore we need to move our licensed operations to a more prominent position, although this will take time. In the meantime we need you to support our Club by joining your family and friends for a drink and a meal at the Club.
The Board has implemented a number of initiatives to reduce costs throughout the year but there is a limit to expenditure cuts before there is an impact on service and performance levels. To be sustainable and successful we need to increase revenue. As reported previously we have seen revenue growth from our membership and partnership programs and despite the terrible weather conditions for our last 4 home games we still have increased attendances leading to increased gate takings and ground catering.
Our boys have assisted the Club’s financial position by performing so well in the Foxtel Cup.
We need to increase our revenue base and have developed a number of initiatives with our partners including:
1. Support the NAB Introducer Program – Take out a new loan or refinance and NAB will support our Club by simply mentioning our name – call Angela Mandalios 0439 180 956 for assistance
2. Support the City Mazda Introducer Program – Buy a new car or refer a friend to buy a new car at City Mazda and the Club will also benefit – City Mazda Port Rd Hindmarsh
3. A-Mart Rebate Program – Become a member at A-Mart All Sports – Mile End and 5% of your purchase is directed to the Club.
Finally join the Bloods Bench and you will be supporting our players in 2014 as we continue to strive for on ground success.
Your support is appreciated and I look forward to seeing the “Red & Black” pack at AAMI during the SANFL Finals series.

If waxing lyrical about a score-line of 9 goals to 8 on a fine, 27 degree afternoon is considered baiting? Then yes

Dont bitch if you're just as guilty
Quite standard if you breach their trading terms.

So you were the idiot drinking $2.50 beers from the bowling club whilst your club is dying. Unbelievable.
