Crikey can we lock this topic???

IMO it is now saying more about the posters than Fisher and Shirley.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Without wanting to drag this out anymore than it has been already, I think there was plenty of concern from the Eagles for both Ben and the other West Adelaide player who injured his knee (dont recall his name sorry) on the day as the Eagles doctor was on the ground attending to the players in both incidents and assume this would have involved some follow up post match also, so perhaps in a case like this actions speak louder that words.
Trust the process.

The Eagles medical staff did a great job and I wasn't referring to them at all. I have the highest respect for them, from personal experience.

I was just asked a question and answered it (as far as I'm aware) accurately.

I've got to say, the way you have carried on, I would have expected you to know for sure before shooting your mouth off. The Eagles have publicly stated on their own website that they want Ben to make a speedy recovery and I now know for a fact (after calling the Club) that they have privately enquired about his health on numerous occassions.

And, to add insult to your baseless accusations, they have enquired about his health through their own Club doctor who is continuing to treat Ben because your Club does not have a Club doctor available. And, it was the Eagles 2nd doctor who treated the other player's knee.

I have no problem with you having a crack at the incident itself, but have a think before you start to label other people's Clubs as not caring about someone who could have received a significant injury. I would have thought that this show's that they obviously do.

I did know for sure, matt and I've PM'd you.

I accept the Eagles have enquired if they say so, but perhaps it was after the time I originally posted.

I don't know how many times I have to say that I have the highest regard for the Eagles medical staff and trainers. I've known several of them for many years and they do a great job and are caring people. Nowhere have I suggested otherwise.

I was also only quoting what was publicly reported that Rob Shirley sent Ben Fisher a text message. IMO, that's a bit weak, but others are entitled to think otherwise.

We all stick up for our team and I applaud your passion for the Eagles, but I'm entitled to do the same for the Club I support.

I tend to agree about the text messaging part, in the circumstances a text message is something but basically says i'm not bothering to talk to you in person so a text message 'might do'.
That's more a general comment about the abundance of text messaging, rather than a go at Shirley, who has an excellent track record.
