I dont think Shirley should get off but Im happy with the penalty handed down thus far.

WRONG YOU GOOSE I SAID IT IS THE WORST INCIDENT ''I HAVE SEEN'' SINCE THE 1991 GRAND FINAL.....

c'mon you name something worse that has happened on the sanfl playing arena since that day in 1991 ?

King hit in 2007 SANFL grand final was worse IMO

Both incidents have been on players from the Riverland (Schubert and Fisher)!
Apparently we're not well liked! ;)

2 sanfl games so the tribunal has really given him 4 but can hid behind bye situation and call it 4.
stae game round doesnt count and cant paly for crows 1 game, eagles v central 2 games, eagles v norwood 3 games, eagles bye 4 games
might be 3 if picked for crows on 13 june
so tribunal says 2 and those calling for more get their way as is really 4

Already addressed bayman, North supporters weren't neutral just like West supporters aren't in this incident (surely that's not rocket science?), if you read previous posts you'll work it out and he didn't knee a North player, you must be thinking of completely the wrong incident mate.

That is an extremely dangerous tackle. Ben Fisher is still suffering neural effects from it and the potential for dramatically serious injury was high.

He was forcefully driven head first into the ground.

Forget about definitions, if that tackle was made in Rugby League, it would be 6 weeks minimum.

We'll wait and see what the Appeal verdict is.

Give us your opinion again, I didn't hear it the other 5 times you've mentioned how dangerous it was.....

My apologies, matt1, but now that Ben's father has had his say, I was aware of the effect it was having on Ben Fisher and the trauma he was naturally going through (and still is).

I also note that the Eagles are upset with Andy Collins' comments, but I haven't seen anything at all where they have expressed concern for Ben Fisher.

Never mind, Robert Shirley has reportedly sent him a text message

I dare say that it is because the Eagles have conducted things in the correct manner, NOT THROUGH THE MEDIA. You seem to have such an interest in this situation, maybe you can ask your Club if the Eagles have expressed their concern and report back...?

The Eagles SHOULD express their concern through the media, where it would have most impact.

The club through the CEO have put up messages on the eagles website .
Perhaps for all those who have problems with the Woodville West torrens football club the best thing to do would be to email phone call in etc the Woodville West torrens football club.Rather than sit on line and complain because no one cares what is written on a football website(no offence wedgie and mods) .But if u put it into writing then they may take action .

Sorry but I think its time for an end Shirley was reported and suspended .Yes he got 2 weeks that are really 4 weeks so play on guys .There are more games this week .

Impact on who? People who interact on forums like this? I would think that contacting the West Adelaide Football Club would have meant more to Ben Fisher than saying it in the Media. My opinion only, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

As far as I'm aware, matt1, that generic sentence on the website is the only expression of concern about Ben Fisher from the Eagles.
