North Adelaide supporters on the winning side and still having a bitch about the umpiring :? . Give it a break already it's a broken record. I'd like to see the stats mate but at a guess I would say that your cocks had the better run. Also it's where you received your frees. Start being objective and not biased about it for a change RM.

Not even the white morons could help you. Get your cricket bats out and start your season!

Mate I'm not the one complaining about the umpiring if you look at who started this it was on of your rooters fans. Geeeez can't wait for Sunday when you boys get pumped. Can't wait for all the excuses then.

I must admit, I cringed when I read the original post.

The umpiring at times was poor, both teams were affected, the result wasn't.

I think the best two teams this year are in the Grand Final and certainly the best team won yesterday. Well done to North Adelaide and good luck next week. Also well done to the Eagles who once again finished in the better half of the table. Disappointed to not be playing off next week, but proud to have the team finish where they did after the mid-stages of the year.

As far as yesterday's game went, I thought the Eagles did well to make the most of their opportunities early. To maintain a lead of about three goals for most of the first half gave plenty of hope at half time. However, even though we were leading, significantly, North were winning in the clearances and had as many scoring shots as we did. The Eagles forward line was working well, but North's forward line was looking dangerous, especially with Gill playing closer to goal.

After half time it was the Motlop show. He kicked some freakish goals and displayed all his skills. I thought he was the match winner for North and inspired them to victory. Howard, Hart, Younie etc. all played well. I thought Vince and Salter were the Eagles two best.

Disappointed, but there is always next year!

Aerie - you're right to take pride in your bloke's performance. They fought hard, from where they came from part way through the season. It was a lot like Centrals last year, just you guys didn't make the GF. Good effort.

Brave effort from the Eagles on Sunday but the tank was obviously running on empty. For 2008 we need some pace on ball, tall key defender and all players fit unlike this year where key players like Cicca, Cooper,Passador, Inkster, McKenzie et al either missed significant amounts of games or played with injuries.
Also need to replace McGregor, Passador (job offer in Melbourne), Grocke (modelling contract o/seas), Colville.

Just to rub salt into the wounds as I got back in my car after the game on Sunday with the radio still tuned into 5rph I turn on the ignition and out blurts the North song, so I quickly press the FM dial and the song playing was REM's Everybody Hurts! :(

Colville, Grocke and Passador will be significant losses if as you say is true. We can probably cover with Schwarze and Salter, but will need to find some other talls as Pedler isn't getting any younger neither. Skipworth would be the player I would most like to see us get back. Will this be possible?

Pretty reliable source. Not done and dusted but the offer is there and after being left out yesterday may tip the scales.

Am also of the opinion North supporters will outnumber us. Don't forget that almost all neutrals will be following North.

Nup, there's no way North will outnumber Centrals although I think we will have a very good trun out but Centrals have a bigger supporter base and many Centrals fans who have missed in recent years and there must be quite a few looking at the drop in crowd numbers might be back this week simply because of a different opponent for a change.

However, there may be a number who are complacent, having been there for the past eight. I would wish that no-one would be complacent but life is life.
