Giniver....terrible caller
Never minded him on the ABC as a special comments guy, thought he tried to add something to people's understanding of the game.

In other SANFL news, the 2014 IGA League season will now kick off with Norwood hosting Port Adelaide at Coopers Stadium on Thursday April 3 at 7.20pm.
The historic season opener will also be broadcast live on Channel 7’s digital station, 7mate, from 7pm.
‘’Moving the game between the SANFL’s fiercest rivals in Norwood and Port Adelaide will be a wonderful way for the League to kick off the season,’’ Davies said.
‘’Having the Redlegs unfurl their premiership flag live on the Seven Network will provide the competition with outstanding exposure as it ushers in a new era.’’

NORWOOD AND PORT ADELAIDE UNDER LIGHTS IN HISTORIC OPENING ROUND CLASH LIVE ON 7MATE
Seven announces massive footy broadcast schedule across three stations. Prime time local footy and first ever Good Friday telecast starts new era.
Channel Seven today announced the opening round blockbuster under lights between Norwood and Port Adelaide will kick off its historic coverage of the new SANFL IGA League.
The meeting of the fierce rivals on Thursday April 3 will be televised LIVE on 7mate from 7pm.
And in a first for the SANFL, Seven will televise LIVE the Good Friday clash between South Adelaide and Glenelg in round 3 on April 18.
It will be the first ever televised football match on Good Friday.
Under the terms of the agreement with the SANFL, Seven will exclusively televise the match-of-the-round throughout the 2014 season with matches to be broadcast on Seven, 7mate and 7TWO.
Every single match in the SANFL IGA League will be telecast LIVE.
The historic agreement, announced last year, means that Seven will be the only place to see both the SANFL IGA League and the AFL.
It is the first time the SANFL and the AFL have been telecast on the same TV station.
Seven will televise almost 400 hours of footy in 2014 with matches from the SANFL IGA League and the AFL.
Seven is set to revolutionise coverage of the SANFL, bringing the passion, excitement and energy which has made the competition one of the strongest in Australia.
“The SANFL is in the DNA of every South Australian footy supporter and our promise is we will present the game like never before,” Channel Seven program manager Meno Toutsidis said.
“We are thrilled to be covering the SANFL again. We look at the period when Seven was last involved, in the 1970s and 1980s, as a high point in the television coverage of the SANFL.
“Our aim is to not only bring back the thousands of fans whose first major footy experience was the SANFL but also to attract a new generation of fans.”
“It is fitting that the first match between historic South Australian rivals (Norwood and Port) should be telecast on one of our new digital stations, 7mate, which has been a remarkable success since launching on AFL Grand Final Day in 2010.”

... or anyone, judging by the incessant complaints.
The ABC no longer wanted the SANFL telecast rights as it no longer fits their left wing obsession with South Polynesian Women's Curling.
Channel 7 have stepped up to offer a better product in a variety of time slots. Anyone who thinks Port Vs Norwood is going to rate up against Friday night AFL is seriously deluded.

I guess that's the question - Is the viewership more important/beneficial than maximised attendance?
