It was amazing stuff, on TV it seemed like there were about 10 thousand less people in the stands at the start of the 4th quarter? Obviously many Crows supporters are Bays supporters.

Or maybe neutrals couldn't be stuffed sitting around Dogs supporters and hearing stupid chants and seeing flares.

I actually got a photo of the one that was thrown a millisecond after it left the thrower's hand, pure fluke, will have to inspect the photo closer to see if the perpetrator can be spotted and if he can I'll pass it onto the relevent authorities, throwing them into unsuspecting people is bloody dangerous.

It should have been if she can be spotted, it was a female who threw it and she was arrested and kicked out after being dobbed in by all the CDFC supporters around her.

Surely between spectators in the area and investigation from CDFC with SANFL we can find these idiots and have them banned from ANY sporting venues. Wow throwing a flare which hits an innocent little girl. How bloody funny or heroic is that.... bloody idiots giving our club a bad name and ruining a genuine great day for everyone....makes me sick.
Hope the little girl is okay

Just catching up on this thread.

gothebombers, what rubbish   Tell me wtf does a Centrals supporter at an Aussie Rules grand final, on the other side of the planet, have to do with English Soccer. And btw it's spelt Hooligan.

Have a rant about the flare by all means, but keep the steroetyping to yourself. For the record, there are no flares at English soccer games. Maybe you should have posted "Turkish soccer hooligans"

ok....maybe i shouldnt have written that .........so ill just say hooligans........is that ok johntheclaret....im just misinformed onthe flares thing over seas.......typical ozzie..sorry

Nah, play on gtb. It just p1sses me that every time this sort of stuff happens folk bring up English soccer fans. To be honest, most English soccer games are pretty tame affairs as fas as any hooligans are concerned, and they have never used flares. more of a Turkish and european thing. Apologies for the over reaction.

I'm pretty certain that the DH that threw the flare wasn't among those who lit them.
I would be very certain that those who did light the flare were disappointed and very angry about the fact it was thrown.

It couldn't have been thrown if it hadn't been taken to the ground and lit!!!

Take explosive sniffer dogs to the game and arrest anyone with flares and lock em up I say.

top call....i think many dogs fans on here know who takes them also....

Brilliant doggies. To me it was one of the most important wins since 2000. I think that's a reflection on Glenelg and also how we were written off during the year and at the start of the year. I'd love to find the post from a few months ago that described the Gowans boys as old hacks. They were awesome, as important as they were eight years ago.
Watching the game live I thought Buckets would win the Jack Oatey, but having watcched the replay I thought James was brilliant. Very unlucky to miss his second JO. Buckets was fantastic, definitely player of the finals. Out playing all his more "highly rated" opponents.
Tackles were the key stat, most important along with taking opportunities.
As I've seen under someones alias on this site "players get statistics, teams win matches, clubs win premierships".
Well done doggies!

I am mate. Cheers.
Someone got me a signed CDFC guernsey earlier in the year. Was delighted as it was the squad from the year my daughter was born, I didn't think it would be a prem guernsey though!
It's gonna be real special when it's framed.

Not going to happen, SANFL games are lucky to get any cops there at all let alone sniffer dogs!

Nothing will be done about it unless/until a spectator becomes seriously injured.

If he's not at least rookie listed it by either the Paps or Crows it would be ridiculous. I hope he can stay here. Brilliant poise, fantastic left foot, good mark, carries the ball 'through lines', and can kick goals.
Reminds me in many ways to Daniel Healy.
