It'd be nice to get Grand Final crowds in excess of 30k like we used to! :D

not sure that we would be scrapping the right team in order to boost crowds, there is generally about 20,000 from Centrals, if the other club got the same amount we would be pushing for 40,000.

Yeah but how many from other club's do you scare off? You don't scare Port supporters as can be seen from the 95 and 96 GFs as they're just as ugly as you!

Hooray! North have 11,064 more fans than the Dogs!

In all seriousness the SANFL GF has lost a hell of a lot of prestige, me and a group of up to 20 used to go every year and make a big day of it, went right up until 94, at least half of the 20 wouldn't even go to a game during the year but just went to the event, heaps of people like that have dropped off slowly but surely.
In 95 I just went with Mrs Wedgie and didn't go to another GF until 2003 despite having Footy Park members tickets up to about 2001!
Im not sure what the cause or what the answer it but real deductions can't be really made until we see what sort of crowd we'd get conistently with the Norwoods, Ports, Sturt, Norths and possibly Glenelgs join the dogs in the GFs.
Im still confident with a big game between some of the traditional powerhouses we could crack 40k but I could be wrong.

the reserves was played in briliant sunshine and a young Glen Freeborn tore us a new one....

The clouds came over just as the league teams run out (as forcasted) and by the 2nd qtr it was p!ssing down, poured in the 3rd qtr when Buckley took that one grab hanger in front of the members over Gary Christie....

a sh!t of a day....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

That's right, from memory it wasnt cold despite the rain as I had a Bengals top on that day with shorts I think. My bro in law who's a Bay man actually had to drag me out of an "almost" brawl with 3 Port supporters that day.

Look at that, the Eagles are on the right hand side so many times and have a d before their name!

The old powerhouse clubs are finished most of their supporters deserted in droves and joined the Mutant Power and the Chardonay Crows footy clubs.

Unfortunately supporters of other clubs have also joined the above what a shame.

There are only two powerhouse clubs in the SANFL at the moment and they are Central and the Woogles !!!!!!!!!!!

Or were an aged supporter base now severely dwindled by the rate of mortality and age related health - As would be the case with our club which seems to have forgotten all about replenishing supporter stocks by failing to offer the kids any reason to follow them...
