Satnite would be better with a local ammo game prior to ressies or U17s,19s,ressies then league all same venue -free admin to game if there before ressies.

very true!!!!!

i think night footy at CHALLENGE RECRUITMENT OVAL in the early part of the season and towards the end would be ideal, especially when the weather is reasonable. but the club should get the toilets etc all under control first.

The bay under lights would be awesome but how about norlunga under lights also god those nights would be colder than a witches tit. It's cold during the day imagine how cold you would be at norlunga with a night game?

Biggest issue at Noarlunga would be the cars behind the goals who would start flashing their high beams at players having a shot at goals.

Yeah, you'll never hear a Rooster crowing after Norf kicks a goal....

That's not a gimimck, that's a wish of Barrie's.
And what Barrie asks for Barrie gets as there's never been anyone close to him in the SANFL and he still is in our souveneir stand every home game, I don't see that sort of dedication from any other so called champions of the SANFL, not that they'd be close to Barrie anyway. :D

Well put Wedgie. I can personally vouch for the hard work Barrie does behind the scenes. Sure done me some favours over the last couple of months. Onya Barrie

To be fair pseudo wouldn't have known that plus imagine someone like Studley Cornes working for the bays as a Marketing Manager and manning the promotions booth (do they have one?) - it wouldn't happen because it would be beneath him. Talking about "being beneath" - Studley would be having some home front issues at the momment going by what was in the gosspip columns in the Mail today with his currently single son Chad taking his "smoking hot" step mum (no incest there!) as his date for the recent Power event. I wonder how hard Nicole had to campaign that night?

No matter who wished for it, that bloody rooster is a gimmick. Pretty ordinary one too.

Boot 'em out - with or without their cars. Anyone who flashes behind the goals at Noarlunga on a Winter evening gets what they deserve.

Bigger issue would be keeping the car windows de-misted. :)

Good questions for the AGM methinks,

However, if money earmarked for projects is being used instead to support football operations (our core business) I for one don't mind as running a successfull footy club (I can hear the sniggers from here from non Glenelg supporters) and team is more important about where I take a slash or buy a beer.

Much more important IMHO money is spent on recruiting networks, training and coaching support, junior development and player support.

That is not to say I think it wouldn't be good short and long term to have a permanent toilet block at teh Southern end, a return of Snouts Bar and lights suitable for night football but they to me are less important than a fully funded football operations department.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

One thing that puzzles me is why the Glenelg club is not open for meals on a Saturday Afternoon? The pokies room is open though. Yet I went past yesterday and saw 5 or so cars there for it, surely by having the club open for meals that would bring more punters in to put cash into the club to pay for projects?

Not trying to be critical though, I would very much like to see Glenelg have the lights project up and running as it would be great for the future of SANFL footy in general.

Dunno if it'd be worth it as anyone would be made to go there when the Holdy's across the road not to mention some great restaurants in the Bay area.
