that's less $900 a week which I assume would have to include registrations, travel costs, insurance, medical etc.
I could imagine an SANFL backed team would cost many times that when you add in players fees, coaching costs etc.
$10k won't go very far. Thank goodness SANFL clubs are loaded.

Without knowing much about the girls comp, why was it limited to 4 teams? If there was two others ready and willing to go, why not just have a 6 team comp? Is it because the SANFL didn't want to cough up another $20k or is there some other factor preventing it?
