Wouldn't say that, Eagles were undefeated and South only lost 1 in the minor round. Bays came from 3rd to win it

2 goals in 2 minutes to North and they go out to a three goal lead at the 16 minute mark 3rd quarter.
Looks as though it's going to North's day.
Cocks 9-7
Blues 6-6
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Blues get one back through the Wildman to make it evens for the quarter, and cut North's lead back to 2 goals.

Kirkwood and Beard have been very good acquisitions for Sturt and given good service to the club. Both sounded good on the radio.

That only shows scores directly from frees
I counted 5.1, scored as a result of free kicks, either directly or from the 2nd touch as opposed to 0.1 to North.
Sturt scored back to back goals twice in the game, both times in response to North pulling away and both times as a result of free kicks.
In the last quarter Sturt's 3 goal burst started with a free kick inside North's forward 50, for holding the ball that the radio commentary thought was going to Schwarz for a high tackle and were surprised the ump gave it to Sturt.
Once Sturt hit the front they were just too strong for North. Did they get a helping hand, I have no idea, but they certainly haven't won 6 on the trot for nothing.

It's pleasing to be where we are after being predicted for the spoon. Mattner has them doing things very well.

That said, and like I mentioned earlier, bout time we got the rub of the green from the umps. We usually get stiffed!
