Cheap beer always means a good day and the Grogs could create an atmosphere anywhere they go.

There's no bowling club at Prospect, you don't need elevated viewing unless you're a plastic AFL fan or a midget and yes I agree the patrons are ugly where you stand for North v Sturt games but luckily we only play Sturt once a year there usually.

You need to create atmosphere when the game isn't worth watching.

Worth watching or not worth watching, its what we do.
Better than abandoning our club when they're in the shit like a lot of others do.

Admirable. Especially considering the length of time you've been neck deep in it.

Yes we are admirable unlike some supporters who go missing when losing, barrack for new clubs abandoning their old club or start going to games because of a shiny new venue. Shows the difference in intestinal fortitude of different people in the community.

Prospect lacks elevated viewing to a degree at the Northern End but you must be blind or dumb (or both) if you claim the rest of our ground doesn't have elevated viewing. As for a weird smell - that's rich coming from a supporter who beloved club uses a part oval, part parkland steeped in dog shit! At least we can walk around and have multiple options re viewing whereas Unley Oval you are essentially locked into 1 half only.

What will AFL do about the kiddies blackboard that masquerades as a scoreboard along with it being a very cramped and small playing durface - we can expect plenty of goals from inside centre square that game. AFL could make it 15 a side and take out both CHF lines.

I suspect this post was to to "troll" to get a bite from Wedgie but I bit instead! ☺

I know there's a young Strut volunteer who could do the scoreboard in the pocket at Unley.....

I am not sure what the AFC/AFL is thinking. Unley would be the worst ground for any match. No parking, poor viewing and general lack of facilities.
On the other hand Elizabeth will be good for motoring enthusiasts. A good variety of cars for Port and Centrals "supporters" to review.

Unley Oval is 5km's from Adelaide Oval. It's hardly taking the "game to the people" as the NAB Challenge is reportedly for.

Early this year it was Port Lincoln. Now it's Unley Oval...Unley Oval FFS?

Holding one at Elizabeth is not as bad, it gives Barossa people an AFL match not far from home. But, Unley?

5 clubs made a bid for the games. I'm guessing West, South and Norwood were the others (no or little cricket) and they've all hosted games in the last couple of seasons. Must be a rotation element to it.

Must admit Norwood has a bit of talent, slim pickings at Prospect except for the wives/girlfriends/daughters of the grogs ;)

I hope Glenelg never host a nab challenge game as the taller goal posts look ridiculous at suburban grounds.

Maybe you would appreciate a new time clock?

It would be great at Glenelg. Should try for a night game and see if they get the lights up to decent spectator standard. Westies might have missed their boat and same for Centrals. South are a chance next run.

If you cant see the benefit of having one of these games at your club, well you might as well give up .

YES !!!

The only club in the competition to not have a permanent digital time clock...

We really are thrashing out the big issues in footy.
