Im always torn between my love and Loyalty to the crows and my love for Norwood. Being only 8 when the Crows came in I have grown up with them going every week. I only spent the years from 5-8 going to Norwood matches with Dad. Once the crows entered we switched to going to crows matches and it wasnt until I was older enough to go by myself to Norwood games that I started to go again.

Im so torn

Great post, well expressed and honest, but go with Norwood. Plenty of opportunities to support, see and hear about the Crows in this town.

From a personal perspective, good to know that the brainwashing your Dad did during those 5-8 years has seen the support for the SANFL through. Exactly what Im doing to mine, poor little buggers have no choice. :D

Personally, I can't understand how anyone could change their allegiance from one club to another just like that.

Thats the thing. I cant not support either team as I love both. Hopefully crows and Port are gone next year then I dont have to worry about it anymore.

they will still be there next season sadly. even if the club delegates had a massive change of heart and voted them out, there is a clause in the reserves teams entry that any change to their rules would be implemented the following 12 months. if they vote them out at the end of this season (and i havent seen anything to suggest this will happen) we are still stuck with them for season 2016...

Won't be at this one as I'll be at Prospect watching the bays destroy the roosters. Norwood have really hit a bad run with injuries and hit the Crows in form and pretty much injury free. Norwood as has been mentioned seem to find another gear against the AFL sides, but I think this one is a bridge too far. Crows by 5 goals.

Just had a look at the Crows team line up and was pretty surprised by just how strong it looks.

Still think Norwood at home just.

What do you think the odds / line should be in this game?
Nw $3, ravens $1.30 ? Ravens -15.5

You'd think it would be pretty close to that mate

A side at full strength and full of pro's v a side at half strength and made up of part timers, nup Ravens should be $1.10 :D

Norwood will give a good account at home, they may even pinch the game. They may get beaten by 6 or 7 goals. My above odds are about correct

Im the same as you sib, my grandfather would turn in his grave and mum and dad would dissown me if i went for anyone other than Sturt. At the same time we are all AFC and Sturt members. While I dont get to many sturt games (1-2 a year) , I always buy my membership. I went to the Sturt Adelaide game at unley this year and didnt even contemplate taking the AFC scalf. Sturts the team I support in the SANFL.

That's it.
These are the moments where the farce is so highlighted. In a normal competition a side surging from the bottom of the table signifies new found belief,or that things have clicked between team mates or an exciting new prospect has found his feet, ready to take the next step step. This genuinely validates the competition because they've discovered "what it's all about". When you've got a team suddenly winning games because they're getting topped up from a multi million dollar reservoir of talent from the next level up....
Well I guess it's good for the AFL pros, isn't it? And that's the main thing. Lucky we've got them to tell us what's good for us too.

Understand the point you are trying to make, but it completely ignores the injury lists of both clubs. Would not be as confident of a Crows win if Norwood were at full strength as we have seen they have been able to beat very strong Port Adelaide sides, as well as a pretty strong Crows line-up the first time they met last year, the game where the Crows got off to a flying start only to be overrun. Bottom line is, Norwood are copping a mounting injury list at the wrong end of the season.

Ignoring the point as always.

One team from one comp playing under one set of conditions playing a team from another comp, albeit the same sport, who have a completely different set of playing conditions and motivations.

A joke game in a joke league. F you Joe.

Like a broken bloody record.

If you don't like the game or league don't watch it. We bloody get it, you don't like the AFL reserves teams. Can't people talk about a game without having you troll every thread.

Use the ignore button numnuts, I'm going to be bleating about my club being sold out from underneath me for years to come.

How did you feel when your club wanted to merge to get in the AFL?
