So Port's named ruck-rover and rover both gone, and Glenn, who was BOG for mine in Centrals' best performance of the year (vs Norwood), is back.

It probably won't get interesting; but if Centrals can get some confidence going, and sap some of Port's, it could.

He could get in.

He did get in, I just wonder if he won it and now has an AFL contract. Obviously wouldn't be able to say anything

Buy him a few frothies and he might tell you ;)

Winner does not get named until end of the season. From what I know the last 3/4 do not know either and they come back at the end of the season/show and do the final stages then. He is definitely amongst it and the word on the street is he probably wont need to win it to get a spot next year on a list, as there has been some very interested observers at the filmings of this show. Hopefully he can show his wares over the rest of the SANFL season.

Centrals are a chance in my opinion. With S.Gray out and Ben Newton going out, I feel Centrals are in here.

Very insightful Simon. I think you have covered all of the options.

This could be Centrals best team this year if they all of the ins get on the park. And Port's may well be one of the weakest it has fielded this year (don't know much about them so will be happy to be told I'm wrong) so it will show us where we are at this year with our squad.

Cool preview here care of the official PAFC website. Highlights include:
• it's "a genuine danger game for Power"
• "this Saturday night" promises to be "one of the most memorable in football this year" (could well be true, but the relevance of that claim to a 1st v 9th SANFL game starting at 2:10pm on Sunday seems slight)
• there is no "last 5 at ground" record for Centrals because they've "not played" there (although there is a potted summary of their win in Round 19, 2013, which presumably was played at an alternate-universe Alberton Oval)
• the interesting assertion, under the heading "Underdogs?", "It hasn’t been common to see the Magpies go into an SANFL game as favourites for some time, but that will be the case this weekend...". Phew, all of those weeks of being rank underdogs finally behind them.

Let's hope this page doesn't get amended in any way.

If centrals can't win this then I don't know what they can do. Centrals in a canter.

This is probably the first time in forty years that i have not been to Alberton and you will not see me again until the real Magpies return !

So whats the consensus Doggy fans how many of you will head out to watch your team get smashed by the interloping AFL parasites ?????

No chance, not interested in a farce.

Do you support Centrals or only when our opposition suits you?

Or are you just sulking because SANFL made a decision you don't like?

I've supported centrals for the last 40 years, regardless of our opposition, regardless of win loss, regardless of being the only Central supporter at my primary school or high school. I wont stop supporting centrals but won't attend the game. So I guess, yes now the opposition and what they stand for, doesn't suit.
Call it sulking if you like, I don't really give a $&@( what you think). Yes, I'm not attending due to the sanfl making a decision I don't like ( thought that was pretty obvious). I'm prone to making choices based on what I think's right, you're free to do the same.

Only if he's missing something that one day he'll look back on and wish he hadn't. Doesn't sound like something you can decide for him.
