I would think that all concerned would be disappointed with a crowd below 7000-8000 ... if we get a lot more than that, buggered if I know how we are going to fit in half the ground

It's going to be 7 degree minimum which will only be at 6am. Should be 10 degrees while the game is on.
Jackets and beanies the go.
Still see people attend soccer in England when it's snowing.
Surely we can brave 3hrs in 10 degrees

What weather factor?
Friday is forecast to be the warmest day (and a sunny day) in Adelaide this month.

I think Coad being suspended for 1 week is a big blow to the Double Blues chances on Friday night against Glenelg.

His versatility is a weapon Luke Norman has and will be sorely missed this week. In saying that, the Double Blues may welcolme back both Jeremy Johncock and Luke Button into the side this week so that gives them some more big man variety to help cover Coad.

Still sticking with tipping the Double Blues, but only just !!

I suspect the double blues are due to have a win over the bays. Sturt by a couple of goals but I hope I am wrong.

James McLeay should also come back in, played in the 2's last and amongst the best players (although that wouldnt have been hard  )

Yeah, I was just thinking that and was about to add it to my post. I think he is a more than capable replacement for Coad, thus freeing up Button and / or Johncock to play forward if they come back into the side.

McLeay will miss this week and return after the bye, in the game vs West. Pulled up sore according to db.org. :?

Maybe Plant is an option too. Has shown his value in defence and more recently as a goal kicker in the reserves

If they wont play Macca, Plant would be the best choice, even though he has been playing up forward in the reserves. I would love to tip sturt which the heart says, but on form you would have to say glenelg by about 5-6 goals to stay top for another week.

with Coad out I think our defence will be stretched and our lack of height will be used against us. Saying that, stop the ball getting down there and there's no problem but I can't see that happening. Bays by 30. :?

I understand Glenelg started the journey to a clean sweep of Sturt this round with three wins in the 13s, 14s, and 15s (we were leading the 15s when my source left last night - so I assume we won the 15s happy to be corrected) last night at Marion Oval. Congrats to one of the Snouts, a less well known one, who coach the 14s to a win.

All this when the participating umpires are read hot Blues fans!!!!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Suprised that Smith was dropped, I thought he has shown some toughness around the ball and is much imporved on recent seasons. Charlie Sharples in is a good move I think with a slippery deck at Adelaide Oval, his crumbing prowess will hopefully be a highlight.

Vassal is the former Norwood lad isn't he ? I think Plant would come in for Coad and Johncock is a handy in for the Double Blues. Still think they much just get up in a close one.
