Interesting to see that Jay Cheep has been dropped to the 2's by Ronnie Fuller...

I think the general concensus (from an outsiders point of view looking in) is that Jay has just struggled a little bit to adjust to the pace of the SANFL...

Will be interesting to see how he responds to this, I guess Eagles fans will be hoping it doesn't turn out to be a Biagi de je vu !!

I'm hoping the eags can bounce back this week but the last time we faced westies was after a loss and we only managed a draw. The additions of Shirley and Treeby will help though. If we intend on being a top 3 side this year these sorts of games are must win.

I hope not Phil
Nice FF line in the two's hey with hentschel and cheep both playing there.

I thought Jay cheep did some good in and under stuff but the player receiving the ball didn't.Just my thoughts

A big opportunity for our boys this week. Win this and the rest of the competition will stand up and take notice that we are no longer going to be bullied. Lose this and we deserve all the criticism we can get. McKenzie and Cicolella not playing is a huge plus for us as those 2 always kill us.

You do have Rob Shirley to deal with though and he racked up 30+ possesions against you last time. :D :D :D

This will be a really tough game v Westies.

Hope Ronnie has the boys fired up after last weeks mess.

Some good ins, thou would have thrown caution 2 the wind and played Hentschel at FF.

Also would put Cicca in a fwd pkt and play him bursts on the ball. What has he done wrong??? His experience in this game wouldn't go astray.

Eags just....1-12pts

Agree and I'm also wondering what Cicca has done wrong. The team will want to turn it around this week. Alarm bells rang for me last Thursday night at selection. I don't think they're picking the right players. Simple as that. Must be some heavy influence at the selection table with how players train? Some of them must train better than they play on a Saturday.

As for Cheep, he's done okay. Has mainly played that small forward role and even then, has been used on and off the bench. I don't think he has any trouble with the "pace" of the game as such. His skills are quite neat in close and he does two or three very good things each game. He just needs consistency and would be more value to the side if he could develop into the rotations through the midfield more often. Maybe needs to work a bit harder and demand to be involved. He is good enough for sure.

Three players I'd like to see rise to the league side very soon are Geddes, Rimington and Fitzgerald. These three should have been playing good league football this year and for whatever reason (Geddes has been injured) have been languishing in the reserves. Time for them to step up because they need to be key players if we're going to get anywhere. As last week showed, we can't just rely on McKenie, Treeby and Powell.

Thank god we've had Broadbent and Stewart. Both have been excellent all year and its been a huge bonus to have these two not playing AFL.

Geddes played last week aerie
And along with cheep is taking the brunt of that loss

Me thinks the eagles are getting injured on Wed or Friday night training.

the weather may play apart in Cicca playing........

he is one of the best wet day players going around......

Rowdy may play also...

if he is good enough to play seconds he is good enough to play league........

he too is a good wet day player.......and would be very dangerous up forward!

Cheep does change with another 2 on ball.......

Aparently he didn't play that well in the 2's last week BOP although I do agree before this I didn't think he had done too much wrong.

Correct EHL .He didn't do a loot in the two's.But like Cheep I didn't think he had done much wrong .
There was talk that Cica was being played in the 2's to play a full game not sure if that is correct .
