I'm pretty sure for Double Blues fans, you'll find Toby Thurstans has been rubbed out for 1 week by the SANFL tribunal tonight and will not be playing in this game against the Eagles.

The puffs were never going to let him play anyway after he limped off minutes into the 2nd half with a hamstring injury so we braced ourselves for that one Philly 8)

No loss IMO.

Very overrated player.

Eagles have been in good form.

Sturt should rise to this huge challenge and just get over the line in what should be a great contest.

Sturt by 14 points and Chambo to kick 6.

Well I was only going by Daniel Thomas and Duane Massey talking in behind me at AAMI Stadium last night when I was watching state training.

I did say "I think he was rubbed out" based on what I overheard so perhaps he did recived a 1 game ban but it was reduced to a reprimand as he had a good record...

I don't think there is too much cause for pessimism Jimmy, Sturt are still a very dangerous outfit on song.

Only one of those crowds is at oval ave, and it's not exactly a huge crowd, 2641.
Anyway, big game for both clubs and as was previously mentioned, I don't think anyone saw the Eagles being where they are at this stage, or Sturt for that matter.
I hate going to this ground due to our poor, sorry, woeful record there and as a matter of fact, i've never seen us win there since the merger.
I'm going this weekend, which may be good news for Eagles fans

Both sides in reasonable form makes for a great contest with this game I reckon...

I think at this stage, I'll tip the home side just, as long as Zac holds Chambo to under 4 goals...

I was going to ask why the even 500 supporters? Why not 489 or 622? Or perhaps it was just a "I don't really know but I'll bet it's 500". ;)

What do people think about Cicca's ommission? Admittedly I have not seen a live game this year, but watching the game against the Bays on the telly, I thoughty he added something extra to complement the team rather than being our number 1 mid-fielder he was for so many years.

Is it the end? I still would have thought he would have had something to offer.

Cicolella is unlucky. I think his role in the team is that of a bit part player now and he still does a few things well each game which creates opportunities.

I can't for the life of me see what Fuller sees in Daniel. I also think Hicks takes the soft option too often to be a league footballer. Possibly a bit harsh, but these two players have had a number of opportunities and I can't ever see Daniel becoming a good footballer and until Hicks does the hard things at every contest they should be playing twos.

But, Ron knows best...

From a neutral perspective, I guess a llittle bit suprised about Cicca's ommission, but that just shows the on ball depth that is at the Eagles this year.
