A question for Spelly (may not be answerable ) Eagle seconds won by 10 goals or close to it .But were scoreless in the third term any clue if that has happened often.

I may not agree with you on anything the rest of the year MT79 but i do with that .But just to say after 3/4 we got a better run than u did the blonde umps seemed to be more sight impaired.
Hell I'm not sure who was booing them more when I was leaving the jarman stand.

Dont have my budget handy ATM but think the twos scored 2 points in the third qtr Micky, then started the last qtr with 6 straight goals in 12 minutes, amazing 40 odd minutes of footy. None the less i bow to Spelly and his speedy info gathering abilities! Nice to be smiling on a Saturday night again hey lads!

Perhaps I should have said no goals but 2 points ;)
Why when I watch the two's win do I get the feeling its like watching a winning North side under Jarman lots of running and attacking .Totally different to the league game plan IMHO.

Does it annoy everyone else as much as it annoys me to see the umpires using their arm to shield the sun from their eyes late in the game because they are looking straight into it? Logic says they should just face the other way but it just doesnt seem to happen, makes me wonder then how often they are guessing? Are they directed by their observers / coaches to face the grandstand all the time (and yeah i know it makes it easier for supporters to work out who to scream at!!) and if so why?

wedgie & i for that matter don't understand why umpires are directed to 'stay in the corridor' to watch/umpire the game, ffs if it's like it was today come out to the wings so it can be umpired without umpires having to shield their eyes & lets face it even in cricket the square leg umpire can swap to point if the sun is in their eyes (for the record the umpires were not the reason glenelg lost, we were beaten by a better team on the day)
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Glad im not alone! Umpiring from the corridor, thats another thing again...that prompts more "guesses" IMHO especially if the play is 30m away and players are crowding around, the only consistency that is created from that will be inconsistecy and thats what the punters hate.

Did anyone see the umpire have his back to the throw in and an eagles player get put in a headlock while the umpire was running away and then turned around .
Umpires looking into the sun at woodville has been a bug bear of mine for a couple of years .

Broadbent played in the middle most of the day and he was outstanding....

another junior...Papps promoted today and I thought he did well for his first game....

Salter is awesome....won't be too long before he absolutely destroys opposition teams regularly.....

this lad Allmond is also very good...he is allowing Ron to play Treeby and Jarrad anywhere he wishes.....

Jacky is starting to cut teams to pieces with his pace and overhead marking...

good all round effort today with all playing well......

Yeah, I saw it all. The poor bloke got king hit.

The culprit was caught and was taken away by police. It seemed like the person who did it had a little too much to drink and started picking on someone a little less fortunate than himself. He didn't last long after the incident though because from what I saw some people jumped on him straight away.

I heard some people at presentations say that the Club had already taken away someone's membership due to the incident. If this was the case, well done to the Club for taking such quick action.

Just shows that no amount of security can stop idiots being idiots.

Hope you all enjoyed the Ladies tent as much as I did! :D
