I posted Centrals underage results ME, you are more than welcolme to post the Eagles results mate ;)

My nephew captained the Under 16's side in the first game and I was there from 10am, so after being at the ground for 4 games of footy and a 10 hour day, I think I am entitled to post what I want ;)

You know as a "fan" of the winners I guess that's your right .But as a"fan" of the winning team should you be worried that you couldn't put us away.
More food for the next encounter more food for the Eagles ;)

Yes, that was a tad concerning, but we did the same against Port in the first game last year.

I was also concerned at the amount of misses we had. In perfect conditions, there were several straight forward shots missed. This also happened in the trial against Sturt last week. I'd say there should be some goal kicking practice this week.

Dogs were just that bit cleaner when it counted last night, when the game was there to be won they did what they needed to do, as you would expect. Eagles boys had to work very hard and win alot of contested ball to get the score on the board, Dogs on the other hand seemed to use the space to get free and get alot of uncontested possesion and get their goals under less pressure.

Interesting day with all four games being played, good in theory but dont think id like to see it as a regular thing, interesting that at least the under 18's players dont get a mention in the budget too.

Im sure its been mentioned before and im sure that in these current financial times it wouldnt be easy but an extra set of lights on the outerside of the oval would make night games at Elizabeth much easier on the eyes!

Don't know what the crowd figure was last night but would have thought it was a bit disappointing considering the conditions were good, first game of the season and Centrals were hoisting the flag..again! ;)
Trust the process.

First paragraph - I think two more towers (one on each wing) would make near ideal lighting at Elizabeth. Nonetheless, the current set up is 100% better than Norwood's.

Second paragraph - I too was a tad disappointed with the attendance, but not surprised as the Eagles aren't a big crowd puller. What was the official attendance anyway?

4489, well i didnt think there were that many, but i guess that includes those who were there early and left before the league game. Didn't seem to be as big a crowd as other times i have been out there, big ground though plenty of space for people to spread out.

Actually, being a fan of the dogs I'm not worried about anything other than clocking up the wins at the moment. We have months to fine tune everything but for now wins are more important than game style. In 2 months time I'd like to see a better and more effective game from them but the win is plenty for now.
