Whatever way I read your posts, you're judging West on a trial and then telling dash61 not to judge teams on trials.

look, see me in a month & we'll see where they are...i'll grant you they've had more scoring shots & i hope they do try & score then they have a chance to win but i wonder what would be the first move made if west are 3 or 4 down in a match, i wasn't judging west on a trial per sae but on the team structure & & pattern....perhaps ac read what we thought after trial 1 & decided to attack instead

now r&b (& my friend dash61) please answer this question honestly would you put your money on west adelaide to beat most sides this year ? (on todays form)

i don't look at the scoreboard in trials because we know it means nothing i look at the team structure & the gameplan that teams are trying to employ, west's gameplan hadn't altered from 2008 up to that stage

Well, that's for the future and all I want to see is improvement. I was only addressing your inconsistency of argument.

As always, you can consign trial game results to the rubbish bin. It seems some people are using trial form as the basis for writing off South this season. These games are glorified training runs and anyone who uses them as a barometer for how the season will pan out is misguided.

The season STARTS next weekend and I'm confident we'll kick it off with a win against Westies.

Westoz falcon I hope you are right! I am looking forward to our round one clash against the bloods, and I will be there with bells on!
I dont believe our trial match form has been top notch,I would be hoping we still have at least another gear to move up.Only early days and we have only played trials, but with a bit more depth this year I thought we may have shown more than we have so far.
Good to see Benny Warren and Cockshell managed to snare 4 goals each in the trial against the roosters.Denis Illjscen got relegated to the reserves and bagged 6 goals so he may have a chance of getting back in the league side for round one.
From the couple of trial matches that I have seen our midfield seems to be struggling a bit,and we are getting smashed at the stoppages so Clay may have to tinker with the side a bit and may have to find a couple more options to have a run through there.
Still I do not expect miracles this season, but I feel we must
be more competetive than last season and a win against the bloods would be a huge confidence boost for the team and club! BRING ON THE BLOODS!! ;)

Trial games results mean jack. South has used them as such, this game like all round 1 games will be hard to predict and should be a good contest, however to suggest a Bloods easy win as prior posts suggest are a little ambitious.

I don't know about that, we were dreadful in trials last year and were the same in the season proper.

Extremely worried about this one. We should win going on trial game form but as previous posters have said that means jack.
But anyhow GO U BLOODS.
Anyone seen any odds. Would assume that this game would be the first time in a long time that we start as favourite.

In your magarey predictions, give consideration to James Ezard if we look like we can win 8-10 games
