I heard a different club is investigating leaving its home and moving there after the completion.
No secret that the SACA put 'proposals' to both North and Sturt but at least the Sturt Board didn't vote to move back there!
As far back as 2005 the North Board, all except the former Chairman voted to move home games to AO. This was re-inforced in 2007 with the addition of an invited new Board member who was also heavily involved at Management level with the SACA. The only reason North didn't proceed is that the SANFL fell out with the SACA over the AFL games at AO issue and therefore our club was "forced" to tow the SANFL political line and support them. Although there was a backlash in 2007 / 2008 from supporters when the rumours turned to fact - the decision to move games to AO had been made ages before!
Trust me the AO issue will be well and truly on the radar at Prospect still despite the constant denials from the President which gives no one any comfort because he has turned out to be a bumbling fool who had to run crying to Gerard to blackmail his way back for another term. The fact the proposed Prospect Oval re-development plans are on hold which the current Board says is due to the Council reviewing their plans, my mail is that the NAFC is not that committed to Prospect so that is a convenient excuse.
The current Board (and CEO) of the NAFC is an out of control shambles who have no concern for the member / supporter base of the club.
