Speaking of which, I went to take a look.

It reminds me of another club a couple of decades ago, but I doubt they'll have the same results on field.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

This concerns me!!!!

How can Norths with dual pokie venues, and by all reports are very successful in their own right make a loss "mismanagement?", Norths and Centrals whether we accept it or not, are the power brokers now of the SANFL, financially, and Norths produce a loss ?

Centrals are suppose to make a small profit, In this current economic climate we are in, when the Roosters make a loss, what hope is their currently long term for the other clubs?

How can a power sponsor send a letter in the report saying "vote for no change", when this board in charge of the club made a considerable loss. Can someone please explain the meaning of "free elections"?, Is this Rob Gerard or Rob Mugabi writing this letter?

As a fellow non-North supporter I love the questions you ponder about North. it saves me the hassle (and threats of arson from Punky) of having to post them too. In the words of Zinsky from the classic 1981 movie Stripes, "Let me say I will be right behind you all the way!" 8) :D ;) However to save a lot of angst on here is it not better, at the end of the day, to let the North people worry about how their club is being managed. I too am a touch incredulous about how North could make a loss given their alleged income streams. Just my opinion though.

As to my own backyard with a huge sponsorship deal, membership sales over 150 more than this time last year and 1st qtr income above budget for the 2008-09 footy financial year I am quietly confident of Glenelg being back in the black come this time next year - no doubt their will be a chorus line of posters on here quick to remind me of another 1980 TM outlandish statement if I'm wrong...

However if our perforamces head South (pun most certainly intended) and we don't get the same level of match day support i.e. $$$ spent over the bar/food outlets that could change. Bandwagon supporters = more $$$$ and only good on-field results keeps the bandwagonners.

So the answer to your question about the future od the SANFL clubs thoughs with good management, government processes and good onfield resuls will survive.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
