I packed up and went across the road to the Holdy.
Just makes me wonder how much money 8 SANFL clubs could be losing in total because of this.
I certainly wont read much into Glenelg's loss because of the great renovations they've done which wouldn't be cheap but I only wonder how much worse it might have been in a poor year on field.
The 8 clubs that don't have Coopers only because of the League sponsers of West End, while Norwood has Coopers as majpr sponsers, but you knew that many years ago didn't you.
This is true, but Norwood still sell West End products as well as Coopers. I would have thought other clubs would do the same. It's always good to have a choice.
Considering they sell over 8 beers on tap, and different beers again in bottles I hardly think choice is a problem.
Disagreed, its the reason why I dont spend hundreds of dollars there but are quite willing to. I might be in a minority enjoying a South Australian beer but it would only take a few hundred people like me to cost the club tens of thousands of dollars if not more.
But if the Japanese beer gives them a couple of milion dollars a year that'd more than make up for it so everyone's happy including the Holdy.
Shame though as many like myself would prefer to send their money the way of an SANFL club rather than a Hotelier.
Also Im not sure why so many Glenelg people are chiming in as it has nothing to do with what club it is, its a credit to Glenelg that I'd consider drinkig there because of their great set up.
If North were closer or South were more appealng it'd be exactly the same discussion.
Anyway, because of this Ive discovered the Holdys great rang of beers on tap as well as their great schnittys and they're making good money unlike the place across the road probably because they're more in touch with younger drinkers today. I even know of many Bays fans who spend more money over there before and after games becaus of choices available.
