Yes and I think that Heals will improve North but with all the changes expecting him to do it in one season is a big ask.

Exactly, name a coach that has taken over a list (with no involvement previously at the club) and taken them to the GF

not many at any level

North will be happy to make finals, 2010/11 should be their premiership goals

I would imagine there would be plenty at various levels of the game, unsure about previous involvement with the club but I know that 4 of Norths premierships were with coaches in their first year of coaching the club.
I think if you'd hunt down records in amateurs, southern, etc you'd find it happening many times.

I wont be happy with North making the finals, they were only 1 game away from that last year in a shocking year.
Top 3 would be the aim IMHO.

Al Clarkson coached a Premiership in 2001 when he first came to Centrals... :D

Stevie Wright got the Dogs into the GF in 1996, his first year at the club after coming down from Tasmania (even though they lost to Port :( )

Just because Port haven't gone out waving $$ under the nose of every half hack pulling on a pair of boots doesn't mean they don't have the cattle. I went to the AGM last week where they unveiled the new carefully selected recruits. There's some big boys in that lot. Plus half our long term injuries from last year can be classified as "recruits".

Matt Lokans a big boy doesn't mean he can play geez some of Centrals best players in this run have been Bello, Slade, Callinan and O'Sullivan, they barely stand over 5ft tall.

So if your resting all your hopes on these recruits because there big, you could be in for a dissapointment

Nothing like some selective quoting to serve your failing argument. I wrote about more than just "new" recruits.

And refresh my memory, Bello, Slade, Callinan and O'Sullivan have played how many AFL games, for how many AFL Grand Final appearances? But of course Matty Lokan's the one who can't play?!
