Glen Archer has commented on this before. He said he'd never shake an opponents hand before the game, he believed it was a sign of weakness, you don't offer your hand in friendship to someone you hope to intimidate and smash the next 2 hours.

Glen said you shake hands post match... not pre. Chambers didn't do the wrong thing, there's no expectation on him to shake people's hands, buy them flowers, hug their children etc before the game.

What's the point? Five minutes later you'll be hoping to iron out that player...

Calm down Stampy. I have a had a week off for continually having a go at SP and Wedgie makes no decisions as to what is moderated or who is banned so it is very unfair to single him out - those decisions are made by a majority of moderators who all follow different clubs.

Howdy mate,
Just checked and none of your posts on this topic have been deleted (yet).
What the hell has it got to do with Admin when EVERYONE thinksyou're on the wrong track including a Glenelg fan? :?
If you're not trolling then you're seriously deluded or thick but Ive given you the benefit of the doubt.
Seriously mate, your team has made the Grand Final, enjoy the week, no need to be a tool trying to upset Sturt supporters after you beat them.
BTW no elite level Rugby League players shake hands before a game either, I suppose they're all bad sports?

PS Let me know which radio station you're ringing, would like to hear it, you know what they say, any sort of publicity is good publicity, thanks in advance mate!

'deluded and thick" i got banned for less than that, take a leaf out of your own book pal

I am a big fan of Chambo and Rudolph
The best full forward/full back in the comps
HOWEVER
I wouldnt shake hands with a guy that outmarks me and shows me the ball [shake hands after the game]

Both are stars
Both good enough to play AFL
CHAMBO has missed the boat
Sammy still a hope, a real AFL type of player

Shaking hands at the start is unnessessary
Shaking hands after the game is good sportsmanhip

It was pretty poor by Chambers. Rudolph went to shake his hand and Chambers did the old pull the hand away and sleek it through his hair trick. Then at the start of the third quarter Chambers went up to Rudolph and said "Give me five". "On the side". "Down low". Before pulling out once again and saying "Too slow".

It was very childish and unsportsmanlike behaviour and I can understand why stampy is furious.

PERSPECTIVE
Its a prelim final
Sammy was KOed last week
Chambo does not shake hands , he wants Sammy to be on edge
Chambo should be in Sammys ear to remind him etc
Thats footy

Stampy sees it as unsPORTsmanship, thats his opinion
Im impartial as I think both are tremendous players and I think its being blown out of PERSPECTIVE

Sturt's delivery and general forward movement was appalling due to the Bays' midfield pressure, so I don't blame Chambers necessarily. So perhaps Rudolph's job was made a lot easier but he did not put a foot wrong all day - poor old Chambo being benched twice would have to be the ultimate accolade I would have thought.

Next year when we'll play Sturt rather than shake hands we'll get Sammy to give Chambo a cake of soap and towel so that he can bath him properly....

Seriously now, the fact that Chambo give a way those 2 stupid 25 m penalties and the fact that even when the ball was delivered into the hot spot 30-40 m dead in front Sammy either spoiled him and or out marked hm showed that despite teh delivery Sammy give him a touch up...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

sammy would have made a good full forward for sturt yesterday

numerous times as the ball went inside sturts forward 50 sammy was leading to the ball like a full forward with chambo trailing behind.
